Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of Bournemouth and Brighton in the Premier League. The Cherries are yet to pick up a single point and manager Eddie Howe will be hopeful his side can record their first victory of the season against the league's newcomers to relieve some pressure from his shoulders.

Howe will be pleased with how his side have kept the ball in the early stages. They're finding plenty of space on the wings but the front men haven't managed to get involved just yet.

Brighton launch their first attack of the evening - Gross is played through on the right, he beats Ake for pace, but scuffs his cross into the arms of Begovic.

The hosts have started well though. Pugh and Daniels link-up on the left-flank with the latter finding space to accept the return pass before seeing his low cross to the near post hacked away.

I covered Bournemouth's 3-0 defeat to Arsenal last Saturday and they were truly terrible, probably their worst performance since being promoted two years ago.

The players are out on the pitch now and we're moments from the big kick-off. Tonight's man in the middle is Craig Pawson.
You can almost feel the nervous atmosphere in Bournemouth this evening, it's an important match for them.

Kick-off is less than 10 minutes away now, so let's have your predictions. I'm going for a 2-0 home victory and happy faces all around the Vitality Stadium.

There has been torrential rain in the south of England today, but it has dried up over the last hour or so.

Bournemouth could lose their opening five league games for the third time in their history. On the two previous occasions, in 1983 and 1994, they recovered to avoid relegation from the third tier.
The Seagulls last won successive top-flight matches in 1982, beating Arsenal 1-0 on 7 September and Sunderland 3-2 four days later.

PLAYER TO WATCH - Jermain Defoe
The England international has yet to score since his return to the South Coast. He did strike the bar at Arsenal, but will he have better fortune this evening?

STAT ATTACK
Brighton's only win away to the Cherries in the past eight league trips was by 2-0 in the third tier on 2 October 2007.

Albion must be brimming with confidence after overcoming West Brom with some ease last Saturday, but Hughton isn't letting his players get carried away - and insists tonight will be a tough challenge for the new-boys.
"When you're at a club like Bournemouth that have only recently been in the Premier League, you can have good and bad periods. But what they've always done is come through them," he said.
"They have a lot of quality in the team and I've no doubt it will only be a short period of time before they start turning those results around, because of the experience they've had in the last few seasons.
"It is a tough place to go on a Friday night under the floodlights, but I just hope we can take some of that confidence from Saturday's game."

Despite their miserable start to the season, Howe insists his players remain positive. Speaking in a pre-match press conference, he told reporters:
"It's back to basics really, the fundamentals that we know can bring us success. The lads have worked hard this week, I think we've prepared well, so we're ready.
"The players are a very honest group, they want to do well and when we're not doing so well, they feel that.
"We do have to recognise that we've just played Manchester City and Arsenal and we've said previously that you have to put those games to the back of your minds.
"We know that we'll be judged on these games."
19:17
Meanwhile, the visitors finally claimed their first triumph of the season last time out, overcoming West Brom 3-1, and Chris Hughton isn't going to make any drastic changes this evening.
The inclusion of Liam Rosenoir is the only adjustment with the defender replacing club captain Bruno
Summer signings Ezequiel Schelotto and Jose Izquierdo are on the bench.
19:12
Howe's side were well beaten in their previous game - a 3-0 loss to Arsenal - and he makes three changes for tonight's match. In come Francis, Pugh and Surman, out goes Mings, Mosling and Cook.
Looks like the Cherries have also reverted to a flat back four.
