As expected Liverpool have dominated proceedings, but somehow it's still goalless at the break. Mo Salah will be reflecting on his early missed chance, but Stoke have had half-opportunities of their own.

Ings and Liverpool's celebrations are cut short. Firmino rolls a ball to Ings, he feeds Wijnaldum whose shot is blocked. It comes back to Ings who fires it into the roof of the net, but he was in an offside position.

Crouch is booked for a rather reckless tackle on Firmino. The Stoke forward has been starved of service and is probably a little frustrated with how this first half has gone.

Dion Dublin, of the BBC, reckons Salah is tired: "Dare I say it Mo Salah has been a little out of sorts, not as comfortable. Maybe he is tired, a lot of the time he has been on the ball he has picked the wrong option. He's been great all season, but looks a little leggy."

Salah steps up to take the free-kick... and bends in towards the top corner with his left foot, but it drifts inches wide.

WHOOPS! Butland races off his line to gather a routine through-pass but he spills it, under pressure from Salah. The Egyptian retrieves the ball but is then fouled by Pieters.

There is no way out for the visitors as Liverpool pile on the pressure. They are dominating the ball, with 63 per cent of possession in the last 10 minutes.

Firmino can be found anywhere across the frontline and he receives the ball on the left, skipping past a challenge before crossing into the Stoke penalty area. It's cleared but only as far as Wijnaldum whose shot is straight into the side-netting. It wasn't the cleanest of strikes.

Moreno has options either side of him but Zouma makes a vital interception to break up the attack.

Down at the other end, Stoke go close once more. Shaqiri finds a way past Moreno and drills in a low ball across the face but it just evades Crouch who would have been left with a simple tap-in had he been better positioned.
