This has been a concerning start to the match by Arsenal. They are struggling to get a hold of the game in the middle of the pitch, they are lacking invention and look shaky at the back.

That Sessegnon chance must serve as a warning to Arsenal. They were so open when Schurrle made the turn on the halfway line. The Gunners once again look vulnerable at the back.

Sessegnon was clean through! That was a bit let off for Arsenal. Schurrle turns and sets free Sessegnon, who was through on the Arsenal goal, but he sends his shot wide of the far post.

Mitrovic gets sandwiched between Mustafi and Maitland-Niles. The Fulham striker is making the case to the referee that he was pushed, but replays show it would have been soft.

It has been quite a flat start to the match. We also saw this earlier in the match between Everton and Leicester City. Maybe New Year's Day just isn't the say for good football?

Kolasinac has been in decent form recently and once again he is providing Arsenal with an outlet down the left side. This time he bursts into the box, but Le Marchand makes the tackle.

Leno is now the undisputed Arsenal number one goalkeeper, but some questions have been asked of him in recent weeks. He's not quite as solid as Arsenal fans might have hoped.

It will up to Sessegnon and Schurrle to provide Mitrovic with support. The Serbian is Fulham's main goal threat, but too often he can be left isolated at the focal point of the attack.

Looks like Fulham are going to try and sit deep and absorb the pressure from Arsenal. That's a risky strategy, but do the Cottagers really have the quality to take the game to the Gunners?

That could have been the perfect start for Arsenal. Aubameyang barely got a sniff against Liverpool at the weekend. The Gunners have to get better service to their striker today.
