The problem for Cardiff City is that the more they push forward, the more that they send bodies forward, that leaves space in behind for Palace to exploit on the rapid counter attack.

Ward shoots wide! The ball fell for the Cardiff City forward inside the box, but Ward just couldn't get the ball out from under his feet and curls an effort well wide of the Palace target.

If Cardiff City are to stand any chance of avoiding relegation, of pulling off the unlikely, they must raise their levels in this second half. Only three points will do for the Bluebirds here.

HALF TIME: Cardiff City 1-2 Crystal Palace. If the Bluebirds are going to keep alive their hopes of avoiding relegation they will have to mount a fightback in the second half. They have it all to do.

This first half was plodding along until the opener from Zaha and since then the game has exploded into life. Cardiff City could have scored three and Palace could have scored four!

The lengthy stoppage for the injury to Camarasa has conributed to the lengthy injury time added on at the end of the half. Is there time for Cardiff City to drawn level for a second time?

So close to another Palace goal! Batshuayi must have thought that he had scored another! Townsend's cross after a counter was a beauty and Batshuayi's diving header was saved at close range by Etheridge.

Another Guaita save! Another corner kick causes mayhem in the Crystal Palace box, with Morrison winning a header at the back post. Manga flicks it on, but Guaita makes the reflex save to deny him!

Manga header saved! That was very nearly an equaliser for Cardiff City! Manga got on the end of a corner kick, his header looked to be looping over Guaita, but he tips it over his bar.

Ayew blocked it! That was on course for the back of the net! McArthur beat his man at the byline and picked out Zaha, but Ayew actually blocked his low shot on its way into the net. That should have been three!

As things stand, this scoreline is enough for Cardiff City to suffer relegation from the Premier League. The Bluebirds will have to fight back for a second time! Up against it!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Cardiff City 1 Crystal Palace 2 (40 mins - Michy Batshuayi). Crystal Palace are back in front before the half time interval! There was a nice one-two on the edge of the box between Ayew and Batshuayi and the Belgian striker made no mistake in finishing high into the Cardiff City net! Very nice goal by the away side.

He wasn't ready! That was a lovely ball from Zaha, who cut inside and then played a pass through for Batshuayi. But he wasn't ready for it and the Belgian's touch let him down!
