It was great play from the Icelandic playmaker who dribbled past a number of Spurs defenders right on the edge of the box and then angled a shot past Lloris, who got a glove to it, but couldn't keep the strike out.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Everton 1 Spurs 4 (49 mins - Christian Eriksen). What a goal! Great technique from Eriksen. Coleman headed a cross to the edge of the box, where the Danish playmaker was running on to the ball. He controlled his first time volley and found the back of the Everton net.

Everton actually played pretty well in the first half, but they were the masters of their own downfall at times, with a defensive mix-up between Pickford and Zouma allowing the equaliser.

Alli off! This is a blow for Spurs. Alli has been taken off at the break by Pochettino and he is replaced for the start of the season half by Lamela. Was he injured? Resting him? Surely an injury.

The second half is under way! Spurs have a 3-1 lead over Everton.

HALF TIME: Everton 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur. The Toffees have a lot of work to do if they are to rescue this situation in the second half. It is a mark of Spurs' quality that they have managed to turn this around so impressively.

What an impressive turnaround this has been from Spurs. They have yet to take a point from a losing position this season, but they are well on course to changing that here.

Trippier's freekick from 20 yards out beats Pickford, comes back off the base of the post and Kane was on hand to finish into the empty net! Spurs have taken a commanding grip of the game just before half time! Two-goal cushion.

Everton look a bit shocked by what has happened in the past 15 minutes or so. They have played well and they have had chances, but they're five minutes away from going into the break behind.

That was great play from Spurs, from Sissoko in particular. He turned with the ball and surged towards the Everton penalty area. That's what sparked the attack from the away side.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Everton 1 Spurs 2 (36 mins - Dele Alli). Spurs have turned this game around! Son was played into the channel by Sissoko, he gets the shot away from a tight angle. Pickford makes the save, but Alli is on hand to stick away the rebound, putting his laces through the ball!

It was a subdued opening 10 minutes, but this match has really come to the boil since then. Great match so far. Both teams are looking to attack whenever they get the ball.

Again, that was soft. Calvert-Lewin and Sanchez were challenging for the ball in the Spurs box, but the freekick is awarded to the visitors after Sanchez made the most of a touch.
