Sterling has been in exceptional form in recent weeks and he looks lively once again this afternoon. Daniels is having a tough time keeping tabs on Sterling. A real threat early on.

What a cross! That was a brilliant cross into the box from Zinchenko! He whipped it in for Jesus, but the Brazilian just couldn't stretch far enough to make a connection and force it goalwards.

The home supporters respond well to Sane tracking back and making a tackle on Daniels as Bournemouth attempted a counter attack. Good endeavour from the German.

It's a strange atmosphere at the Etihad in the opening 10 minutes or so. It's almost as if everyone, the fans and the players alike, are just waiting for Man City to catch light as they normally do.

As you might expect, it's Man City who have started the match on top. They are the ones dictating the pace and tempo of the play. Bournemouth have threat on the counter, though.

Bournemouth haven't had the best of luck at the Etihad in the past. They have lost by four or more goals in every single one of their games against Man City away from home. Ouch.

Well-worked corner! That was a nice idea from the Cherries. They played a short corner involving Daniels. Wilson got to the near post, but he couldn't get enough on his flicked finish.

City were in behind! The Premier League pace-setters make a fast start, with Sane getting in behind down the right side. His cross was a dangerous one, but Begovic manages to gather.
