What's that you say? The Premier League is back? Yes, yes it is and isn't it glorious? And it kicks off with a humdinger as Manchester United host Leicester City. After a frustrating Transfer Window for Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese turns his focus to on-field action. The club were only able to bring in two outfield players in the summer and his pain is compounded by the large number of players on the injured list. Having finally lost Riyad Mahrez, Leicester have their own problems. Claude Puel is feeling the pressure after losing five of their last seven Premier League games and desperately needs his side to make a bright start to the campaign. This tie sounds enthralling, doesn't it? It will be - kick-off is set for 8pm.

CHANCE!
Lindelof to the rescue! The Swede reacts quickly to make a vital sliding challenge on Iheanacho who was played through by Gray's clever flick-on.

United are defending so deeply now as they try desperately to weather the storm. There is a chance for the hosts to break but Mata's through-ball to Rashford is overcooked.

Up steps Maddison... but straight into the wall.

Maddison is fouled by Pogba in a dangerous, central position. The young Englishman is over the ball, but so is Chilwell...

SAVE!
And now Maddison almost scores his side's equaliser! He resists the temptation to make a run to the near post to meet Ricardo's cross, instead he remains rooted to the penalty spot and when he receives the pass his first instinct is to shoot. De Gea makes a fine save and United scramble it behind for a corner.

Making his Premier League debut at the Theatre of Dreams, at one of the biggest clubs in the world, but it hasn't fazed Leicester's new boy Maddison. He skips away into space in midfield just now, threading a through ball to Richardo. He finds Chilwell whose cross is blocked for a corner, but it comes to little.

A swing and miss from Ndidi from the edge of the box, much to the relief of the United faithful.

After sustaining some pressure United seem intent on slowing the match down, to take their time and catch their breath.

After a brief warm-up, Lukaku was been told to sit back down by Mourinho as Rashford raced back into the action. He seems fine to continue.

Just had a look at the possession stats and it reads 59% in Leicester's favour.

Leicester are asking questions of the United defence, particularly down the right side where Gray is tormenting Darmian. The hosts need to get their foot on the ball again.

There is a growing concern for Rashford who may have picked up an injury. Romelu Lukaku is warming up.

Darmian looks increasingly worried each and every time Gray has the ball at his feet. This time the Leicester flanker teases a clever pass into the feet of Iheanacho, but the former Man City forward slices his shot just wide. He was offside, anyway.

Cool, calm, composed: Pogba gives United the lead.

After a nervy start to the game, Leicester are beginning to grow into the contest. The visitors almost string a nice move together, but Maddison's through-pass to Gray has too much zip on it.

Again it's Pogba who rises highest to clear Maddison's devilish free-kick delivery.

If there is a weak-link to this United XI, it is undoubtedly Darmian at right-back. He can't cope with Gray's driving run and resorts to fouling him, conceding a free-kick in a dangerous position in the process.

Chilwell's cross is deep and dangerous but Pogba (who else?) heads clear as United attempt to launch an attack on the break. There may have only been seven minutes played but the Frenchman has been phenomenal thus far.

Maddison, Leicester's new signing from Norwich, draws the foul from Fred on the left flank and the visitors have a chance to test United's rearguard for the first time this evening.

It was a clear handball. Armatey was trying to pull away but it's struck him on the arm and blocked a shot which may have been goal-bound.
