We can probably expect Brighton to expel their reported 4-3-3 shape; as mentioned previously, Gross will most likely drift into the number 10 hole in an attempt to orchestrate and seek space to make late darts into the box, yet Leandro Trossard will hold his width on the left and fancy his chances in beating Martin Kelly for pace. Thus, we could see more of a lop-sided diamond shape for the Seagulls, with the Belgian Trossard 'partnering' Neal Maupay, and both 'francophone' forwards looking to beat the offside trap and get in behind Dann and Tomkins, who aren't renowned for their pace.

Both sides have fabulous attacking players, with very different skillsets. Benteke most definitely has a point to prove that he can still cut it as a Premier League target man, whilst Jordan Ayew has been in decent form for Palace, shouldering most of the Eagles' goalscoring burden with a mere four, which highlights a pertinent problem for Hodgson. Zaha, of course, speaks for himself, and I'm banking on the Ivorian tonight; I've had a shocker in this week's Fantasy Football...
19:00
We must pick up on the surprise choice of Christian Benteke by Roy Hodgson this evening, showing the Palace boss' offensive intent. We could well see the Eagles go more direct into the Belgian, who starts a Premier League game for the first time since August, with Jordan Ayew and Zaha making the runs in behind, feeding off the knock downs and flick ons to stretch the Brighton defensive line.
18:59
As for Brighton, it'll be fascinating to see what they do with their talismanic playmaker Pascal Gross, with the German, on paper, seeming to be playing wide right, but we presume that as the game wears on he'll want to impact the action more centrally.
18:57
Interestingly enough, both sides have adopted more attacking 4-3-3 formations tonight rather than their usual 4-5-1 shapes that they plump for in the 'bigger' games, and tactically, it seems as though Wilfried Zaha will be playing high and wide on the left wing, attempting to isolate Martin Montoya in one-on--one scenarios.

Team news; Brighton: (4-3-3) Ryan; Montoya, Webster, Dunk, Burn; Mooy, Bissouma, Propper; Trossard, Maupay, Gross.
