That's your lot! Liverpool make it a nap hand of victories to start the Premier League season, as they hunt down their first title since 1990. Newcastle got off to a flying start, and had a few chances early in the second half to draw level, but the class of the hosts ultimately told.

Both teams are going through the motions here. Shelvey tries to chip a ball through to Atsu in the Liverpool area, but he gets too much on it and the ball dribbles out for a goal kick.

There will be a minimum of three additional minutes.

Mane gets the ball in the net from a cut-back by Firmino, but the Brazilian was offside and Mane is denied his hat-trick.

Another brilliant flick from Firmino manages to release both Salah and Alexander-Arnold into a shooting position in the Newcastle area. Alexander-Arnold gets to it first, but Dubravka is out well to block the shot.

Salah wins another corner for Liverpool. It's worked short to Alexander-Arnold, but his cross is low and easily cleared.

The final change for Liverpool, as Shaqiri replaces Wijnaldum.

Firmino tries to slide in Salah, but Dummett reads it well and cuts the pass out. After a brief scramble the ball goes out for a Liverpool corner. From that, Mane gets the cross first but drifts his header wide of goal.

Play is stopped as both Schar and Hayden are down injured. Schar has been carrying a knock for most of the half, and is replaced by Fernandez.

Newcastle look deflated here, they'll be rueing that miss by Krafth earlier in the half.

Milner replaces Oxlade-Chamberlain for Liverpool.

Atsu finds Joelinton with a cross, but he can't get enough on his header and it drifts well wide.

So simple for Liverpool and that could be the match. Salah, hitherto quiet, suddenly bursts into life. He lays it to Firmino on the edge of the area, Firmino craftily works the ball out of trouble in a tight space and back flicks it it the onrunning Salah, who bursts through into the Newcastle area and drills a low shot into the bottom corner. That's a gorgeous goal.

Liverpool get a free-kick on the right after a foul on Mane. Alexander-Arnold launches it to the back post, where van Dijk rises to head back across goal but Newcastle clear.

A double change for Newcastle. Muto is on for Almiron, while Manquillo replaces Krafth.

Dubravka is at it again now, smothering a cut-back from Firmino that threatened to find the unmarked Salah in the six-yard box. He's been excellent in the second half and has needed to be, because Liverpool are swarming all over the Newcastle goal here.

CHANCE FOR ROBERTSON! He plays a one-two with Firmino, who returns the ball to him with a Michael Laudrup-style scoop over Krafth. Robertson shoots from a tight angle and Dubravka gets something on it to turn it away for a corner. That's a really good save.

Firnino finds Salah in the area, who has been very quiet this afternoon. Salah's first time shot is well blocked by Lascelles.

Robertson accelerates past Krafth down the left, but his cross is well cleared. Seconds later Alexander-Arnold whips a ball into Firmino, whose glancing header goes straight into the arms of Dubravka.

A lull now after that brief flurry of action. Liverpool are still controlling possession but the lead is still only one, and Newcastle are a lively proposition so far in this half.
