An opening day fixture against Arsenal was always going to be a difficult task but Scott Parker will be concerned at just how poor his side looked on the day. Alphonse Areola should be a solid addition in goal, but the return of Mitrovic is a huge boost to their chances. A clinical striker could be the difference between two newly-promoted teams this afternoon. "He will be a pivotal part of what we do this year and will be someone the team look on to score goals," said Parker.

Leeds made a rip-roaring start to life in the Premier League at the home of the league champions. Ultimately they fell to defeat, and while their defending was more than questionable at times, they were clinical in attack. But Marcelo Bielsa is reluctant to discuss Anfield any further... "Every game is a new story," said Bielsa. "We will try to correct all the things we did badly against Liverpool and we will try to maintain all the good things we had in that performance also."

Referee Anthony Taylor has been held up in traffic due to a hold up on the M62. Kevin Friend will now be stepping up from fourth official.

Scott Parker makes FOUR changes from the side that started the 3-0 home defeat to Arsenal. PSG loanee Alphonse Areola makes his Premier League debut, replacing Marek Rodak in goal. Kenny Tete starts at right-back, while Alexsandar Mitrovic is passed fit to start in attack. Andre Zambo Anguissa also comes into the side.

One change for Leeds, with captain Liam Cooper, who has recovered from a calf injury, replacing Pascal Struijk at centre-back. Record signing Rodigo has to make do with a place on the bench once more.
