What a brilliant goal! After pressing for an eternity around the West Ham area, Shaqiri goes direct with a nutmegged pass straight into the middle of the box. It's perfectly timed for Jota, who waltzes onto it and tucks the ball past Fabianski with a classy finish.

That looked the right decision. In the context of the game, it was a move during a period where Liverpool have noticeably upped it since the substitutions. They've got ten minutes here, can they break through?

DISALLOWED GOAL! Jota makes the difference, or does he? He drives hard into the West Ham area and cuts it across to Mane, whose shot is well saved by Fabianksi. Mane slides in for the rebound, and into Fabianski as he does so, and the ball squirms out to Jota who puts the loose ball away from close range. It's reviewed by VAR though, and after a check on the monitor Kevin Friend chalks it off for a foul on Fabianski.

Will these changes work for Liverpool? Jota, who replaced the virtually anonymous Firmino, almost slide rules a pass straight through the middle for Salah but it's a fraction too hard.

A change for West Ham now, as Yarmolenko replaces Haller.

Mane gets a diagonal ball form Alexander-Arnold under control in the West Ham area. He lays it off to Salah, whose shot from a wide along doesn't go anywhere close to the goal.

A double change for Liverpool as Jones and Firmino depart, replaced by Diogo Jota and Xherdan Shaqiri.

A long ball to Robertson gets him in behind the West Ham defence on the left. He chests it into the area and tries to cut it back across the six-yard box, but Fabianski blocks it and West Ham eventually clear.

A long bout of possession by Liverpool is suddenly accelerated in pace and purposed by Mane, who skips between two and plays a one-two with Salah, but the return ball is short and West Ham clear.

A half chance for West Ham here, from a simple long ball that Haller flicks on. Phillips doesn't deal with it as it runs into the area and the ball breaks to Fornals, whose shot is blocked.

Changes incoming for West Ham, as Yarmolenko is being readied.

In the commentary Carragher is critical of Haller's contribution, as Phillips has had a relatively easy night so far. Michail Antonio has been so integral to West Ham's recent success and they're missing his impact here. Haller offers a different threat, and in fairness to him West Ham's delivery to him so far hasn't been up to scratch.

A nice, patient move from West Ham, right to left in Liverpool's half, works a crossing position for Cresswell, but his ball is disappointing and Liverpool clear at their front post.

Liverpool are on top here, but having to work extremely hard to find any space. West Ham's formation is tight and clearly well drilled; Liverpool might need a moment of off-the-cuff inspiration from one of their front three if they're going to cut through here.
