35'
The threat from Chelsea is largely coming down the left through Pulisic, and he tests the Wolves defence again, drawing a foul out of Semedo.
33'
Giroud makes a nuisance of himself in the Wolves box and the ball somehow ends up at the feet of Werner, whose snap-shot is blocked. VAR briefly takes a look at a possible handball during the melee, but there was nothing in it.
30'
There won’t be much material for a highlights package out of this opening third of the game, following the trend of recent Chelsea matches. It’s been a bit of a slug-fest, but with so much attacking talent on the pitch you’d back the visitors to create something from open play at some point.
28'
Fabio Silva holds the ball up well and earns Wolves a free-kick. The delivery isn't the best though and Chelsea clear.
26'
Wolves’ back five are shutting down space really nicely, limiting Chelsea’s options in the final third and keeping Giroud largely uninvolved in open play.
23'
A deflected cross almost falls to Fabio Silva in the box, but the youngster can’t quite bring it under control.
22'
Neto draws a save out of Mendy with a classy half-volley that skids off the wet surface and causes the keeper a few difficulties.

Giroud meets the corner with a free header seven yards out, but he can't keep it down. That was a massive chance for the opener and the reaction of Giroud (and his manager on the touchline) shows that he knows he should have scored.
19'
Mount clips in a cross towards Havertz at the back post, but it doesn’t quite reach the summer signing and it’s another corner to Chelsea. The pressure is starting to build from the visitors now, albeit quite slowly.
17'
It’s been a cagey start to say the least, but Chelsea are slowly finding their feet in the game, with a hint of an attacking threat.
14'
A delightful bit of skill by Mount puts Pulisic away down the left, and his cross picks out Werner in the box. The German’s shot is blocked and Wolves scramble it behind for a corner. That’s more like it from Chelsea!
12'
Wolves deal well with the ball in and the game quickly settles back into the familiar early pattern, with the hosts on the ball and Chelsea content to let them have it in central areas.
11'
Dendoncker goes through the back of Giroud and Chelsea have a free-kick in a dangerous area, possibly slightly too far out for a shot.
8'
Boly and Rui Patricio clatter into each other inside the Wolves area as the keeper comes out to claim a drifting cross. It's a painful one, particularly for Boly, but both are fine to continue.
6'
Coady nips in to knock Giroud off the ball on halfway, but the space goes to his head a little as he bursts forward, with a very optimistic attempt from distance drifting harmlessly wide.
4'
A corner swings into the Chelsea box but the attempt by Saiss sails well over the bar.
3'
Wolves have bossed the opening exchanges, keeping the ball nicely inside the Chelsea half without really offering anything in the way of attacking threat.

Chelsea, wearing their all-blue rather than an away strip, get the game underway.
Twenty minutes until kick-off and Frank Lampard is talking to the broadcasters about his team selection. The Chelsea boss is particularly delighted to see Pulisic back to add some width and spark after his side’s lacklustre display against Everton at the weekend.
