The defeat to Newcastle also extended Arsenal's run without a clean sheet to nine matches, and with no Ben White, Kieran Tierney or Takehiro Tomiyasu, they will have to continue to soldier on with a makeshift back-four. They have also lost their last three matches against Everton.

Arsenal fans will be disappointed to know that they do not have a good recent record against Everton.

The Toffees have won the last three meetings between the sides, and have lost just one in six against Arsenal.

Takehiro Tomiyasu, who limped off the pitch in the first half at St James's Park on Monday, misses out with a tight hamstring for Arsenal today.
