EVERTON SITTING DEEP
It has been all Arsenal so far, and Everton are sitting deep in their 5-4-1 shape and trying to frustrate, as expected. The Gunners just need some cutting edge in front of goal.

RAMSDALE CALM IN GOAL
Holgate tries to chip a ball forward for Calvert-Lewin to chase in behind, but Ramsdale flies off his line to get there before the Everton striker and make the clearance.

BLOCK!
Arsenal are working the ball well! Tavares collects down the left and fires in a low cross towards the near post that is blocked. Odegaard gets to the loose ball, but his shot towards the target is blocked by Branthwaite.

CORNER FOR ARSENAL
The pressure is being applied by Arsenal, as Odegaard plays a quick ball into the box for Nketiah, but a Everton defender gets a touch. The ball comes back out wide to Cedric but his effort is deflected out for a corner.
The set-piece comes in and falls to Cedric at the edge of the box, but his shot towards goal is blocked and the chance is gone. Everton are sitting deep.

FAST START BY ARSENAL
Martinelli already causing problems down the left for Everton as he surges down the flank before getting a cross into the box that flashes across the face of goal. Nobody was there to get to it.

ARSENAL IN FOCUS
Knowing that a win would see a top-four place remain in their hands heading into the final day, Arsenal were defeated 2-0 by Newcastle on Monday to all but put an end to Arsenal's chances of Champions League qualification.
Many have pointed to a lack of January incomings to bolster a thin squad, and only a spectacular set of circumstances going in their favour would see Arteta's side clinch a spot in the Champions League for the first time in six years.
The Gunners sit two points behind Tottenham Hotspur and realistically need their North London rivals to lose to 20th-placed Norwich City at Carrow Road to stand any chance of making the top four, and nothing less than a win will do for Arsenal. A point for Tottenham would be enough for them.
The defeat to Newcastle also extended Arsenal's run without a clean sheet to nine matches, and with no Ben White, Kieran Tierney or Takehiro Tomiyasu, they will have to continue to soldier on with a makeshift back-four. They have also lost their last three matches against Everton.
