Mane climbs well to meet Tsimikas' pinpoint left-wing cross but sees his header flash inches past the post.

A free kick from the far left is met by van Dijk but his header can't make it's way through a host of bodies. It almost falls for Mane but the Villa defence do enough to hack it to safety.

Liverpool's defence creaks once more as Villa raid from the right. A cross finds its way all the way to Digne over on the left, but his fizzing strike is off target.

It didn't take long for the title chasers to restore parity. That was Matip's second goal of the season.

Watkins seems to have some inside info on how to spring beyond Liverpool's high line. He skips down the right and clips a looping cross into the middle, but Alisson comes to gather well under pressure.
