Good chance! With their first moment of real quality, Spurs create an opening! Kane drifts out to the right flank and picks out the unmarked Reguilon, who makes a darting run into the penalty area. But he can't keep his first-time effort down!

Having failed to register a single shot on target in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, Spurs are yet to test Pickford this afternoon. That will be a concern for Conte.

No penalty! Terrific feet from Gray as he slaloms his way into the penalty area before going to ground under pressure from Skipp. The referee emphatically waves away Everton's appeals for a penalty and VAR isn't going to overturn the decision.

Dier is well positioned to head clear from Townsend's cross. Seven minutes to half-time.

After a scrappy spell, the game bursts into life momentarily. Everton break, Gray's shot is blocked by Romero. Then Spurs break but Kane can't find Son. And here come Everton again! The hosts win a corner.

Richarlison peels away from Davies to meet Allan's hopeful cross but he can't get his header under control and it's well wide. The Brazilian hasn't had much in the way of service so far this afternoon.
32'
Reguilon finds himself on the wrong side of Gordon and seems to accidentally trip the Everton forward. He must be careful as he's already on a yellow card.
30'
Delph gets to the ball in front of Hojberg but the Spurs midfielder can't get out of the way quickly enough and Delph flies into him, grimacing in pain as he picks himself off the floor.
28'
After a slow start, Tottenham are beginning to get into the swing of things. After a spell of possession, Moura looks for the killer pass but Keane intercepts before Kane can get there.

Over! Kane drops deep to hold up play before spreading it wide to Reguilon. He stands up a cross to the back post where Emerson attacks but his header is too high.
21'
Everton have almost everyone forward to contest a free-kick. Townsend delivers but it's straight out for a goal-kick. A total waste.
20'
Tottenham build another attack and Kane is fed inside the box after few intricate passes. He's quickly swarmed by defenders and goes down but it was never a foul.
19'
Moura leads a rare Tottenham attack on the counter as he races towards goal and shoots from the edge of the box but Keane is in the way.
18'
Digne swings in a teasing cross but there are no takers in Everton colours.
17'
Delph switches a nice pass into the feet of Coleman but Everton's attack breaks down.
