Over! The free-kick is played short to Delph, who floats a superb cross to the back post. Keane is on the stretch and can't guide his header on target.

Save! Godfrey steps in to intercept Kane's pass and tries an early shot from 25 yards. It's straight down the middle as Lloris makes a comfortable stop, but this has been a very positive start from Everton.

And now Hojberg almost presents the ball to Richarlison in dangerous territory as Tottenham's nervy start continues.

Only a point separates these sides, with Tottenham in 10th and Everton 11th. A victory would take Spurs up into fifth, above Manchester United, and just two points shy of the top-four. A win for the Toffees, depending on the score, could also see them climb as high as fifth. A big game today!

Benitez (writing in his programme notes): "It is crucial today that we return to the positive things we were doing at the start of the season – and play with character and fight from the first whistle. Today, we are facing a side with some world-class forwards and players determined to show a new manager they are ready to be important for the team. The only way to compete and achieve the result we want is to have complete focus and commitment for the entire match."

Everton have just one win since September and have lost their last three league games. However, Benitez has a decent recent record against Conte, winning the last two meetings. Conte's Juventus lost 2-0 to Rafa's Napoli in March 2014 and the Spaniard's Newcastle thumped Chelsea 3-0 on the last day of the 2017/18 season.

Conte (quotes from official Tottenham website): “We played Thursday night, on Friday morning we watched a video with the positive and negative things that happened, and I know that the players can be a bit tired after the game but when you don’t have the time you have to try to exploit every second of the day. The most important thing is to have the will to work, the enthusiasm to do this with the players and for this reason, I ask for patience, because we need a bit of time. The club have had a great vision to build an important stadium, a fantastic training ground and we need to build something important on the pitch. We need a bit of time, but we want to do it.”
