Liverpool have the worst PL record in the first 45 minutes of matches so far this season, with opponents West Ham the next slowest starters.

The Scot is winless in 17 Premier League away matches as a manager against Liverpool (D6, L11) and in all 68 at Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United (D21, L47).

"I've got to step up when needed - whether I start or come on. Regardless of what I do, I just need to be able to come on and produce. We'll see what happens."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he would "hate" himself if remarks he made about Manchester City's spending power were rooted in xenophobia.

"You can see a clear improvement from the start of the season to the way we look now. I hope that it will stay like that and we will continue to grow as a team."

Tretn Alexander Arnold is fit to return to the starting XI as Jurgen Klopp makes some alterations to the side that edged out Man City on Sunday.

Captain Jordan Henderson, Kostas Tsimikas, Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez also come in.

Flynn Downes makes his first PL start for West Ham as David Moyes makes three changes.

Kurt Zouma and Pablo Fornals also come in.
