Charlton have taken Portuguese goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Fernandes on trial. The 27-year-old played in the Addicks reserves' 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday having trained with the club for the last week.

Former Boavista keeper Carlos has been without a club since leaving Romanian side Steaua Bucharest in the January transfer window.
The on-loan Scott Carson has been in superb form for Charlton this season, although he is expected to return to Liverpool in the summer.
Charlton boss Alan Pardew has only Dane Stephan Andersen as a back-up, as Thomas Myhre will join former club Viking Stavanger at the end of the season.
Carlos is no stranger to controversy. In August last year, a journalist reported that he was seen out drinking in Bucharest before a game, prompting his team-mates to refuse to speak to any member of the media in a show of support.
A few days later, Carlos punched a photographer who tried to take his picture whilst he sat in the dugout prior to kick-off in a Champions League qualifier.
