So, Parma began the stronger and went close twice through Palladino, before Napoli took control only to throw it away through poor marking from a corner which allowed Palladino to volley home spectacularly. They lead 1-0.

Zuniga wins Napoli a corner on the far side. It's played in towards Modesto, and is cleared by Djemaili off the line!!! That was almost the equaliser there for Napoli!

Fine ball from Zuniga for Hamsik, he fires it in towards Cavani at the back post, and it requires an excellent clearance from Lucarelli to turn it behind for a corner. It would have been very easy to score an own goal there!

Plenty of niggly fouls this evening. There's been nothing malicious, but the fouls are certainly disrupting the flow of the game.

Cavani brings it forward 30 yards out, looks around and sees absolutely no support, takes his chances with an ambitious shot, but it's easily saved down low by Mirante, who hasn't had a lot to do so far this evening.

Valiani brings it clear for Parma and flights a high ball into the area, though it's an easy one for De Sanctis to pluck from the air.

Cavani is standing over it...he shoots, but straight into the bottom of the wall, and Lucarelli then hacks it clear. Disappointing effort.
