FULL-TIME! Lukaku misses a late opportunity and there's the final whistle! AC Milan claim their first league victory over their arch rivals in four years!
Close! Martinez lifts a pass into the path of Lukaku, who stabs wide! Milan survive, just.
There will be FIVE minutes of added time to play!
Castillejo is fouled by Eriksen. Ibrahimovic is over the free-kick and from 25 yards out, he sends his shot over. That will waste some more time, though.
Milan sub: Kessie makes way for Tonali with just three minutes to play. Milan are almost there.
Inter sub: One last throw of the dice, as Alexis Sanchez comes on for Vidal.
Over! Hernandez's free-kick picks out Ibrahimovic, who feeds Castillejo. He leans back and shoots well over the bar.
And now Conte is shown a yellow card! That means both managers have been booked!
Yellow card! Another booking - this time Hakimi is cautioned.
Inter's earlier chance...
Vidal brings down Calhanoglu, giving Milan a chance to seal the deal. He takes the free-kick himself and his delivery meets Krunic whose header is straight at Handanovic.
Inter have to go again after that flashpoint. Hakimi's cross is catching practice for Donnarumma, who will smother the ball and take his time to release it.
No! The penalty is NOT given! VAR has overruled the referee's decision. It's a free-kick to Milan instead. It turns out Eriksen was offside in the build-up!
Penalty to Inter! Donnarumma makes contact with Lukaku's trailing leg and the referee points to the spot! But wait, it's going to VAR - will it stand?
Milan go close! That could have sealed it! Castillejo slips through Krunic, who creates an angle to shoot but sees his effort drift agonisingly wide of Handanovic's post.
Hernandez gives Milan possession away in his own half but then Vidal misplaces his pass, a passage of play that largely sums up the second half.
The game has lost its rhythm.

Barella is now operating as Inter's holding midfield player as Conte opts for a slight change in formation.

Yellow card! Brozovic fouls Hernandez and the Inter man goes into the book. It's a scrappy affair at the moment.

Double AC Milan sub: Rade Krunic comes on for Leao, while Saelemaekers makes way for Samu Castillejo.

Yellow card! Ibrahimovic goes into the book for dissent.
Glorious chance! Vidal floats a perfect cross to the back post and picks out Hakimi who breaks the Milan offside trap. But with a diving header he misses the target!
Shot! Milan are focused on hurting Inter on the counter. Kessie breaks up play, feeding Leao who carves inside and drags his shot from the edge of the penalty area just wide.
And now Lukaku uses his strength to tee up Martinez as this partnership continues to blossom. On this occasion, the latter's shot is blocked by Romagnoli.
Lukaku shields the ball and tries to slip in Hakimi, who goes down inside the box. To Inter's credit, there is no appeal for a penalty.
This game has been something else. A rare lull in the game allows me to catch my breath. The tempo has dropped for now, which will suit Milan.
Ouch! Kjaera's clearance is smashed right into the face of Barella!
Hakimi controls on the chest and skips past Hernandez on the right channel all too easily. With Martinez lurking behind, Lukaku dummies his cross, but Bennacer steals in to intercept.
Lukaku loses his balance and Hernandez races forward on the Milan counter-attack. The move break downs, though. In a typical end-to-end passage of play, Barella then blasts over for Inter moments later.

Kick-off! Inter get the second half underway! More of the same, please!
- End of 1st Half
Half-time: It's Inter 1-2 AC Milan at the break!
Miss! Lukaku is left completely unmarked as Vidal's corner is delivered. But the Belgian somehow glances his header well wide! A let off for Milan!
Yellow card! Kessie goes into the book for a foul on Barella, who is fine to continue after his scare a few minutes ago.
Calhanoglu is proving equally efficient at the opposite end. He skips past Brozovic and picks out Hernandez inside the box. He can't get his shot away, however, and Inter survive.
Save! Lukaku is proving a menace. He drives to the edge of the box, teeing up Martinez, who wraps his foot around the ball It's straight at Donnarumma, though.
Barella goes down in some pain, holding his knee after a coming together with Calha. Out comes the magic spray and hopefully he will be fit to continue.
Kessie is all over the back of Vidal, who goes down holding his face. Just a free-kick to Inter. It's all getting rather intense at San Siro.
Hernandez appears to have the arm of Lukaku as they both go to ground on the left flank. But the referee isn't interested in the Belgian's appeals for a free-kick.
Calhanoglu drives on the counter, feeding Ibrahimovic, who delays his shot and Inter get the personnel back to deal with Milan's attack.

And moments later, Barella fires a striker straight at Donnarumma. Should have done better!
Off the line! Milan are caught on the counter-attack, as Hakimi's deep cross finds Martinez whose back-post header is goal-bound! Kjaer is there, however, to head it off the line!
How Vidal escapes a booking is beyond me. He brings down Hernandez with the most cynical tackle. Milan have a free-kick right next to the left corner flag.
- GoalRomelu LukakuInternazionale
GOAL! Inter 1-2 AC Milan (Lukaku): Lukaku to the rescue! Inter have one back! Perisic drives down the left flank and although Donnarumma gets a touch to his low cross, the ball falls into the path of the Belgian who is perfectly positioned to finish.
Ibrahimovic gets in behind the Inter defence once more, but there's a late, late offside call. Replays show he was probably level.
Inter's Barella is fortunate not to receive a yellow card for a high boot on Bennacer.
Saelemaekers tees up Hernandez, who strikes at goal. Vidal is there to make the block, however.

- 1st Half
Kick-off! AC Milan get us underway!
One thousand lucky fans are in attendance at the San Siro. It's still weird to see supporters, but hopefully it's only the start of things to come.
Napoli moved to third in the table with a 4-1 victory over fellow title rivals Atalanta this afternoon. AC Milan remain at the summit for now, but can they stay there? Five minutes until kick-off!
Conte is hoping to become a history maker today. Having won both matches against Milan last season, he could become the first coach in Inter’s history to win their first three derbies.
Inter have won 18 of the previous 34 derbies, losing 10 and drawing six. This could be their sternest test in quite some time, though.
Inter, though, have won the last four Serie A games between the clubs and haven't lost a league derby in four years! A run that dates back to January 2016.
The Rossoneri are 19 games unbeaten, a run that stretches back to last season. They have yet to concede in a league game this season, and with Ibrahimovic thriving in games against the club's greatest rival - being involved in five goals in four meetings - Pioli has every right to be confident of taking maximum points this evening.
Stefano Pioli stresses this is an "important and difficult exam" for his AC Milan team. "I had very little time available but the same applies to our opponents," he said. "Our journey began a year ago and we have ample room for improvement, but we respect the opponents, who are seen as probable winners of the championship. We enter the pitch with conviction."
The Inter boss also had his say on Eriksen, who has made just nine starts for the club since his departure from Tottenham. "He is playing enough. Of course, my choices are for the benefit of the team, then I could even go wrong. However, I am happy about what Eriksen is giving Inter now, how he gelled in this squad and I think he is happy to be with this group and with me and my staff. He will have chances for sure because the season will be long and hard. [On Saturday] I will have only four midfielders, three will play and the other will come on later. On Wednesday we will play another tough game against Borussia Monchengladbach but, anyway, I think Eriksen has had many chances and has proven his talent to Inter. Just like the other players."
Conte admits his side's preparations have been difficult due to the number of players testing positive for Covid-19. "If I could have chosen, I would have preferred to have at least one more day," he told press. "We know very well that there are national and international calendars to be respected and we will prepare accordingly."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has fully recovered from coronavirus and leads the AC Milan attack. Skipper Alessio Romagnoli returns from injury to make his first start of the season.
Inter are missing no fewer than six players to Covid-19, including Ashley Young and Milan Skriniar. And yet there is still no place for Christian Eriksen, with Nicolo Barella preferred to start in the hole behind Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Inter XI: Handanovic, D'Ambrosio, De Vrij, Kolarov, Hakimi, Vidal, Brozovic, Perisic, Barella, Lukaku, Martinez. /// AC Milan XI: Donnarumma, Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez, Kessie, Bennacer, Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Leao, Ibrahimovic.
