AC Milan v Spezia live - latest from San Siro as Olivier Giroud gives Rossoneri late victory!

The Frenchman has once again been directly involved in a goal for Milan! They lead with 10 minutes or so to go until half-time.

Spezia work it well in build-up, but Ekdal's eventual cross from the right half-space towards the box is blocked and rolls out for a corner. The delivery is swung in, and Caldara gets his head on it, but the effort is straight at Tatarusanu. The Milan 'keeper berates his back-line for giving the Spezia centre-half the time and space in the box.

Milan rapidly break at pace, and the Spezia back-line are in all sorts of trouble as they are only three against four in the move. Diaz, who has the ball and advances to the edge of the penalty area, cannot pick out the right pass to Leao on his left, and the move comes to nothing! Poor decision making and execution there by the Spaniard.

After a lengthy check, which went on for almost four minutes, Milan have their goal and their lead!

The French full-back goes down and it looks like he has tweaked his quad. The game is stopped for a minute or so while he receives treatment. Soon enough, he gingerly gets back up on his feet.

The free-kick from Bourabia is tame, as eventhough he gets it over the wall and on target, Tatarusanu easily catches in the Milan goal.

Tomori catches Maldini outside the penalty area around 30-yards from goal and Spezia have a potentially dangerous free-kick opportunity right of centre.

Diaz tries to go for goal from outside the penalty area, but he cannot get his effort right as it goes high and wide and curls away from the target.

Milan cause havoc within the first minute of the match here as Leao goes on one of his trademark runs down the left flank. He then cuts inside and curls a cross to Origi in the centre, who is unmarked. The Belgian hooks a volley towards goal, but he misses the effort by inches!
