Jovic was a star for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, but hasn't been able to replicate that form since making the move to Real Madrid in the summer. There is a player in there, though.

Real Madrid have certainly started the second half better than they started the first. Zidane seems to have told his players to play with more intensity and tempo. Much quicker.

Jovic comes close! The Serbian has burst into life at the start of the second half! Modric gave Jovic another chance to run, but he slides a finish from 15 yards wide of the post. That wasn't far away at all!

That was a good run from Jovic. The Serbian picked up the ball inside his own half and dribbled past two Atletico Madrid players eventually winning a corner kick for his team. Better.

Indeed, as that statistic illustrates, Jovic struggled to involve himself in the first half. This was a chance for the Serbian striker to show what he can offer Real Madrid. So far, he hasn't.

Real Madrid will have to pick things up in the second half. They were pretty poor in the opening 45 minutes. Atletico Madrid might come to regret not taking one of their opportunities.

HALF TIME: Real Madrid 0-0 Atletico Madrid. We're still waiting for the deadlock to be broken. Atletico Madrid will be the happier of the two teams so far. They have been more effective.

Headed over! That was a half-chance for Real Madrid to take the lead right at the end of the first half, but Casemiro heads over the crossbar from a corner kick. It was about a yard or two too high.

Isco was very good against Valencia on Wednesday night, but the playmaker has struggle to get on the ball and when he has had the ball pick a pass through the Atleti defence.

The two semi finals were played at a very good pace and tempo, but it must be said that this has so far been played like a bit of a friendly. Real Madrid in particular have played at half pace.
41'
This is better from Real Madrid. They are pressing Atletico Madrid back into their own half, but Simeone's side are holding firm and are repelling crosses being slung into their box.

Thomas has been very good in this first half. He has had an excellent season as a whole. Simeone has struggled to find the right midfield formula, but Thomas has been a bright spark.

That's one of the strangest refereeing decisions I've ever seen. Carvajal slams the ball off Felix and it goes behind for a corner kick... but the corner kick isn't given. What happened there?

It's at this point that I should remind you that the last two Madrid derbies have ended goalless. If it ends 0-0 we will go to extra time and if they still can't be divided then it will be a shootout.
