The English transfer deadline has now passed.
There were three big moves: Joe Rodon joined Spurs, Said Benrahma moved to West Ham, and Jack Butland made a switch to Crystal Palace.
This is how it happened.

22:40 - Goodnight

That's it until January, when we can do all of this again and we can reflect on all the bargains and absolute disasters that will unfold from here.

21:53 - Bolasie misses move to Middlesboro

21:40 - Fulham confirm Kongolo deal

21:30 - Butland signs

19:40 - Benrahma deal announced

Said Benrahma has completed a move to West Ham - initially on loan.

19:10 - Round-up

18:18 - Matty James on the move

17:45 - Newcastle announce signing

17:28 - Knockaert at Nottingham Forest

17:13 - Spurs race for Rodon

17:03 - Done deal

16:50 - Swansea arrival

16:40 - Manchester United exit

16:20 - Moyes: Benrahma has not failed medical

Moyes opened his mouth and this came out:
"He hasn't failed his medical and we are still hopeful that something can be done later today possibly, but I just can't guarantee that at this moment in time.
"It's one of those things that you don't talk about people's medicals because that's something that has to be done and it's private as it would be for anybody. So, I am not going to discuss his medical but we still have hope that we can get it done today. These things happen in football they happen all the time - but we'll see."

15:55 - One keeper in, one out at Stoke

It seems as if England goalkeeper Jack Butland is on his way out of Stoke and headed for Crystal Palace.
The midlands (is it? Someone tell me) club are bringing in Angus Gunn from Southampton.

15:40 - Liverpool youngster on the move

15:15 - Huge Dundee news

14:45 - Sarr to stay

Sounds as if it is going to have to be an extraordinary bid to get Ismaila Sarr out of Watford.

14:15 - McNeil signs new Burnley deal

Look it's been a tough summer for Sean Dyche and Burnely fans but keeping a home-grown star is a great bit of business.

13:45 - Fair point

Well made -

13:15 - Aarons to leave Newcastle?

Never really fully worked out for him did it? Sad to see.

12:45 - Benrahma deal still alive!

What a rollercoaster day this is turning out to be.

12:15 - Barnsley seal Kane move

It's a done deal!

11:45 - Benrahma fails medical

This could be a huge blow for West Ham,

11:15 - Borini back to Swansea?

What a story this would be! Remember Borini's run with Swansea when they won promotion under Brendan Rodgers? That was great.

10:45 - Wilson fee agreed

Sky Sports report that Liverpool and Cardiff City have agreed a fee of £1.2m for Harry Wilson to move to the Welsh side on loan.
Cardiff are reported to have beaten out competition from Swansea, Derby, Nottingham Forest and Norwich City.

10:15 - Palace interested in Butland

The Eagles need cover in goal and it's a great chance for Butland to prove himself in the Premier League again.

09:45 - Spurs not meeting Rodon asking price

Sounds as if Spurs and Swansea still aren't in agreement over the fee for Joe Rodon.

09:15 - King staying put?

Josh King had been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur but since they signed Carlos Vinicius perhaps that isn't so likely now?

08:45 - Kane to join Barnsley

No, no not that one!
Sky Sports report that Liverpool youngster Herbie Kane will join Barnsley in a deal worth £1.25 million. The Reds are expected to be active shoppers in the window.

08:15 - Potential deals

Right the two biggest deals theoretically are West Ham's continued chase of Said Benrahma of Brentford whilst Spurs are heavily pursuing Swansea City's Joe Rodon.
Plus Harry Wilson is a man in demand and could Danny Rose be finally leaving Spurs?

08:00 - Welcome

Good morning everybody. How time flies eh? Now we have to do this all over again. Incredible.
Stay tight while I fire up the coals and get the blog churning and we'll get you updated with all the deals that might happen today.
