Manchester City could sign both Dani Olmo and Jeremy Doku to reinforce their attack, while Real Madrid are interested in bringing in Arsenal defender Gabriel after Eder Militao's injury. Elsewhere, Jota may already be ready to leave Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, and England's women's manager Sarina Wiegman could be the next boss of the Netherlands' men's team.

City want Olmo as well as Doku

The Mail believes that while Manchester City are closing in on Jeremy Doku of Rennes, they are also considering a move for Dani Olmo of RB Leipzig, as they oversee a rebuilding of their squad under Pep Guardiola.
The paper writes: “Manchester City are stepping up talks with Rennes over £55m-rated Jeremy Doku amid West Ham's offer for the Belgium winger.
“City, who are also in discussions to loan full-back Joao Cancelo to Barcelona and have agreed to sell Aymeric Laporte to Al-Nassr, want another forward after selling Riyad Mahrez to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli.
“Doku made 29 Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes last season, as Bruno Genesio's side finished fourth to secure Europa League qualification on the final day of the season.
"The former Anderlecht star has long been targeted by Premier League clubs, with Jurgen Klopp having previously invited the 21-year-old to Anfield.
“Leipzig's Dani Olmo is another on their radar after their bid for West Ham's Lucas Paqueta hit the buffers last week.”

Real Madrid target Arsenal defender Gabriel

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes could be a target to replace Eder Militao at Real Madrid after he suffered a serious knee injury, according to The Sun.
“Real Madrid are eyeing a sensational transfer for Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes,” the report begins.
“Gabriel, 25, is wanted by the Spanish giants after Eder Militao suffered a cruciate ligament injury - which will rule him out for months.
“And while boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted his squad is well stacked in the position, Madrid are considering their options in the market.
“Despite starting every game for Mikel Arteta last season, Gabriel was relegated to the bench for Arsenal's Premier League opening clash with Nottingham Forest.”

Jota set to leave Al-Ittihad

Just over a month in Saudi Pro League football may be enough for former Celtic forward Jota.
The Mirror reports that the Portuguese forward is ready to leave on a permanent deal or on loan.
“Former Celtic forward Jota is set to leave Saudi side Al-Ittihad - little more than a month after arriving in the Saudi Pro League,” the paper states.
“In July the former Celtic man signed a lucrative deal to join Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante at the Middle Eastern club The 24-year-old commanded a club record £25million fee, having helped former boss Ange Postecoglou's side to back-to-back league titles and a domestic treble in his final season.
“The Portuguese winger, formerly of Benfica, was one of the stars of the 2022/23 campaign in Scotland, scoring 15 times in all competitions.
“But opting to leave, despite the considerably higher wages, has seemingly backfired as he is set to leave his new club already, having made only four appearance for the club.
“No specific reason has been given for the apparent imminent departure, but according to reports in Saudi Arabia he is set to be dumped - either on a permanent deal, if a deal can be found, or out on loan.”

Wiegman may replace Koeman

The Telegraph reports that Sarina Wiegman is under consideration to replace Ronald Koeman, with the men’s national team boss in the Netherlands under pressure.
“Sarina Wiegman will be in the frame to become the Netherlands men’s national coach when the post eventually becomes available,” the paper states.
“Dutch footballing chiefs have insisted privately for months that the Lionesses’s acclaimed manager would be certain to at least make a shortlist of candidates. Her candidacy is now seen as stronger than ever after her fourth straight major women’s international final.
“Never before has a leading football federation or top club offered a men’s team management job to a woman. Ahead of Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Spain, Wiegman assured the Football Association she has “no plans to leave” her role with England.
“However, after a torrid 2023 in which the Netherlands men’s side suffered three defeats in four matches, Ronald Koeman is under pressure to turn form around in his second spell in the job.”
