FULL TIME: Spain 1-0 Switzerland

Far from Spain's best performance, but they controlled the majority of the match and deserve the victory. It could have been a more comfortable victory had Oyarzabal scored a second and Merino taken the chance he was presented with, but nonetheless, Switzerland just didn't offer enough.

Spain are doing all they can to frustrate Switzerland now and run down the clock. They are keeping the ball when they can and taking their time over throw-ins and freekicks.

Gavranovic is on for Switzerland. Can he do anything to find a late, late equaliser?

Is there one last chance left in this match for either side? Switzerland seemed to be building something a few moments ago, but that momentum now appears to have been disrupted.

There will be four minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.

Rodri comes on for Ferran Torres and that indicates Lucho just wants to shut up shop and see out this 1-0 win.

This result, should it stay this way, would mean Switzerland have taken just one point from their first three Nations League and with a trip to Germany to come, that's not great.

It's now or never for Switzerland. They need to start throwing some bodies forward and it appears they might be about to make some changes from the bench to help them do this.

Traore was electrifying after coming off the bench, dribbling past opponents at will, but Switzerland are now doing a much better job of getting players around the Wolves winger.

It's been rather underwhelming performance by Ferran Torres. This was a chance for the Manchester City man to make a good impression for the national team, but he hasn't really done that.

This isn't over yet for Switzerland, but they need to start taking even more chances. This second half has been better, but they have only created one real chance of scoring.

A change from the Swiss bench as Zuber comes on for the final 10 minutes or so.

Vargas collects a corner kick at the back post, but just couldn't get away from Gaya to get the shot away on goal. This is a decent period for Switzerland. Their best of the match?

On one hand, you have to admire Switzerland's determination to continue playing out from the back. On the other hand, they have looked uncomfortable doing it all night and still haven't changed.

Merino has been the best player in red on the pitch tonight. The Real Sociedad man is really nailed down that position in the centre of the Spain midfield alongside Busquets.

Spain have looked rather comfortable throughout this match, but Lucho will surely want a second goal to settle any nerves and secure the points. Switzerland not out of this yet.

Freuler is shown a yellow card for the foul on Busquets. That's a bit harsh on the Swiss midfielder.

GOOOOOOOOOOOO... NO! Switzerland have the ball in the back of the net after Busquets was robbed, but the referee decides the Spain midfielder was fouled by Freuler. He can't believe it.
