France have not the slightest interest in pressing from the front. I suppose there's not so much need to expend the energy when you trust your defence and fancy yourself on the break.

Elsewhere, Wales have already scored against Ireland.

Pavard goes off to get treatment and Giroud heads Kroos' corner away. Looking again at Rudiger's challenge, it looks suspiciously like he deliberately introduced studs to body.

France have had some delightful kits, but this is not one.

Germany set Rudiger away down the left and he looks to hit the line, but Pavard slides in to concede the corner, getting trampled in the process. That looked naughty, and there's a break while he's looked at.

France are sitting back and letting Germany play in front of them. They get down the right and win a throw, hurled in by Ginter, and Griezmann gets it away.
