Well, you can't say they haven't deserved it. Argentina have the lead and now Brazil will have to respond. They will need to come out of their shell. They could use the break in 10 minutes time.

Surely that should be a booking? Filipe knew what he was doing when he clipped the heels of Di Maria when the PSG winger was breaking forward at pace. The referee wants to keep his cards in his pocket, though.

Neymar has been kept relatively quiet in the final third, but he is so good that it could take only a moment for him to make the difference. Or if Brazil win a freekick anywhere near the box.

Brazil just can't get a foothold in this game. They are trying to make an impression by crossing balls into the box, but Otamendi and Funes Mori are both repelling everything thrown at them.

The tackles are flying in from some of the Brazilian players. Argentina have the away side rattled, and Gustavo is the one providing the grit and drive in the centre of the midfield.

However, this is the way the Selecao have been playing under Dunga. They are a much more conservative side, looking to absorb pressure and hit hard on the fast counter attack.

Argentina are in complete control of this match at the moment, and the home crowd at El Monumental are right into this. This is getting into uncomfortable territory for Brazil.

And now it's Banega's turn to have a shot at goal! The Sevilla midfielder finds himself in space about 25 yards out, but his effort from range flashes over the crossbar. That wasn't too far away.

Di Maria goes for the volley! Roncaglia meets a pass made down the right flank and crosses into the PSG winger, who tries to take it first time - but he doesn't make the right contact.

Lavezzi is looking dangerous this evening! The PSG striker manages to get to the byline with a turn of pace, but his fizzed pass across the box can't find a teammate and Brazil clear.

These kind of games can be won in the midfield, and Argentina's is looking pretty strong. They have Javier Mascherano, Lucas Biglia and Ever Banega in there. Formidable.

The pitch at El Monumental actually looks in pretty good shape considering the test it was put through last night with the rain in Buenos Aires. It was essentially a swimming pool at this time yesterday.

But then that could be down to the fact that they have not been able to call upon Neymar since the summer. He is so important to this Selecao team. Their hopes depend on him.
