But then that could be down to the fact that they have not been able to call upon Neymar since the summer. He is so important to this Selecao team. Their hopes depend on him.

There is a sense in Brazil that if they lose this game against Argentina tonight Dunga's job could actually be under threat. Things are not going well for the Selecao at the moment.
15'
Some Brazil fans (in fact, a lot of fans) are unhappy with the way their team are playing under Dunga. Their results have been poor but they are playing a defensive style which is unusual for the Selecao.

Okay, so the pattern of this match is starting to become apparent. Argentina are controlling things in terms of possession, with Brazil looking to hit them hard on the counter attack.

Of course, Neymar missed the latter stages of the Copa America during the summer and this is actually his first game back since that suspension. He was handed a four match ban.

At club level Neymar has stepped into the void left by Messi's injury at Barcelona, and now Brazil need him to play to the same standard. He has so often been the talisman for the Selecao.

The tempo to this game has been outrageous! Both teams are going at it, looking to attack as soon as they have won the ball. I'm hoping this sustains and we get a few goals.

However, Brazil will also be rather reliant on Willian - who has perhaps been the only player at Chelsea this season to boost his reputation. He has been in good form for the struggling Blues.

This is also a chance for Neymar to take a grip of international football's most captivating rivalry. Messi is out injured and so the Barcelona man has the opportunity to step out of his shadow.

DI MARIA GOES EVEN CLOSER! The former Manchester United winger beats Luiz inside the area and fizzes a shot across the face of goal, with the ball flashing past the far post.

This is a big chance for Alisson. He's only 23 years old, but he has impressed for Internacionale this season. This could be the opportunity for him to make the number one shirt his own.

DI MARIA'S CROSS REQUIRES A SAVE! I don't think the PSG winger was shooting, but he fizzed a cross into the Brazilian box and Alisson is called upon to make the flappy save.

Of course, Lionel Messi is missing for Argentina with the number 10 still out through injury. In his place much of the attacking onus will fall on Angel Di Maria. Big pressure on him.

This is a huge match for both these teams. I mean, these games are always huge but even more so because both sides have struggled in their own way somewhat since last summer's World Cup.
