Hello and welcome to our LIVE text commentary of Argentina's crucial World Cup qualifier against Bolivia in La Paz. Argentina are third in the 10-team South American group with 22 points from 13 games but have only a two-point cushion over sixth-placed Chile, with Colombia (21) and Ecuador (20) sandwiched in between. To put it mildly, tonight's encounter could be make or break. La Albiceleste haven't failed to qualify for a World Cup since 1970. And, in the run up to tonight's clash, Argentina's task has gotten a whole lot harder. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live.

SAVE! Great chance for Di Maria as he is clean through, takes it a little wide, elects to try to loft the ball over Lampe, but the Bolivian stopper does well to stick out a hand and block.

SAVE! Argentina really turning the screw. Banega this time has a go from distance, which initially worries Carlos Lampe in the home goal, but he backpedals well and tips the ball over.

CLOSE! As close as Argentina have come to scoring, and it is all Di Maria's own work, as he turns and shoots on the half-volley from distance, but the effort flies just wide.

Arce this time elects to have a go himself, drives the ball towards the bottom corner, but that is easy for Romero to gather.

Facundo Roncaglia should really get the ball into the middle, but delays his cross far too long, allowing the defender time to get back to slide in and make the block.

La Albiceleste looked like they had a counter attack on. Di Maria carried the ball forward, skipped past one challenge but overran it and was halted at the last.

SAVE! Sergio Romero is forced into a smart save to deny Raul Castro from distance. The ball bounced up off the turf, making the stop more difficult.

CLOSE! Argentina are all over the place here. Escobar jinks his way into the middle, fires across and it is scrambled clear. Rojo made a crucial block in the melee. The visitors are hanging on here.

Banega flies into the challenge, seems to win the ball, but is penalised and Bolivia are awarded the free-kick.

Enzo Perez tries to bring the ball out, but he is surrounded by green shirts and easily dispossessed.

Juan Arce is the danger down the left. He does brilliantly to again work space for the cross, whips it in, but Rojo is there to clear ay the second attempt.

The visitors cannot get out of their own half at the moment. Martins again heads for goal, but cannot hit the target.

CHANCE! Marcelo Martins is next to go close for Bolivia, as he beats Romiro Funes Mori in the air but can only head wide.

Still all Bolivia here. Escobar is causing all sorts of problems with his movement.

CHANCE! Great opportunity for the veteran Pablo Escobar at the back post, but his control lets him down at the last. Argentina cut open far too easily.

Marcelo Moreno tries to bulldozes his way through the heart of Argentina's backline, but Marcos Rojo is there to make the block.
