Hello and welcome to live minute-by-minute coverage of Scotland’s clash with Moldova.

Scotland have lost just one of their eight 2022 World Cup qualifiers so far. Moldova, on the other hand, are sitting at the foot of the group with seven defeats from eight matches.

Moldova have conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven World Cup qualifiers. Scotland might be without Christie and Dykes this evening, but they will still fancy their chances of scoring a few.

The omens aren’t especially great for Moldova this evening. They have lost their last seven matches. They have also been losing at half time and full time of five of those seven matches.

Adams shoots wide! The Southampton striker has space to run into, he takes aim from 20 yards out, but that was never really going to trouble the goalkeeper and it drifts wide.

Ryan Fraser and Grant Hanley were also forced to pull out of the Scotland squad for this international break. Controversy was caused when Fraser was pictured in Newcastle training.

Scott McTominay is missing for Scotland this evening. The Manchester United midfielder, who plays in defence for the national team, left the camp after picking up a throat infection.

Scotland have been on top in this first half so far, but Moldova have still created two good opportunities through Ionica. Clarke's team look a bit vulnerable in defence!

What a save! Ionica gets in front of his man to meet a cross into the box, his header was down into the ground, but Gordon makes the reflex save! Huge moment in this match!

There's no denying Scotland have been dominant in the opening 20 minutes. They have created chances, but Clarke will be nervous that his team haven't taken the lead yet...

At Euro 2020, Scotland were unbalanced in that they didn’t have many options on the right side. Now, though, they have Rangers youngster Patterson in the right wing back position.

One of Clarke’s biggest successes as Scotland manager has been his implementation of a system that gets the best out of both Robertson and Tierney down the left side of the pitch.

ROBERTSON... saved! Great play from the Scotland captain sees him break into the Moldova penalty area, he takes on the shot, but the save is made by Namasco! That was a chance!

This has been a bright start by Scotland. They are having a lot of joy down the left side of the pitch, but the longer this stays 0-0 the more that the nerves will build for the away side.

Armstrong shot saved! The Scotland midfielder gets a shot away after good work by Robertson and Tierney down the left side, but the save is made and Adams couldn't reach the rebound.

It was only this summer, in the goalless draw against England at Euro 2020, that Gilmour made his senior international debut, but he is now one of Scotland’s most important players.

Gilmour hasn’t played much for Norwich City this season, but the on-loan Chelsea midfielder has been a key figure for Scotland in their efforts to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Scotland come into this game in good form. Clarke’s side have won each of their last four matches and that run has put them in a strong position to finish second in their group.
