Benzema brings down a crossfield pass from Pogba on the left. He cuts inside past two defenders, but fires his shot straight towards Neuer.

A cross from the left comes to Benzema, and he heads straight into Hummels. Muted appeals for a handball from the French, but it doesn't appear to hit him anywhere but the stomach.

Another Germany cross from a free kick, but this time it's cleared, and Cabaye's second clearance is cleared for a goal kick.

There's going to be a drop ball, and Germany will play the ball back to Lloris. Khedira is back on.

Khedira is down, clutching his face. He got the ball walloped straight into it.

Valbuena finds Evra in space on the left, and predictably his cross is aimless, and Germany have the chance to attack until Cabaye pulls back Muller.

The first corner wins a second, and Sakho heads over from distance.

Great chance for France. Griezmann volleys a cross from the right for Valbuena, who controls an awkward ball with his chest and volleys for Neuer to stop. It's back out for Benzema, just a few yards out, but his attempt on goal is blocked and over for a corner.

Muller now takes a tumble in the box as he went for a high ball with Debuchy - he might well have tripped him, even if it was accidental.

Sakho and Howedes challenge for the free kick and Howedes puts it behind, but the ref gives a corner. The corner is headed away for a throw in on the right.

Lahm heads a corner back to his 'keeper. Germany come forward now. Kroos finds Muller, who nudges the ball towards Klose. France clear, and then Evra trips Klose from behind to concede a foul on the right of the box.

France come forward patiently, but Matuidi's ball for Griezmann to chase is picked up by Neuer.

Lloris comes to dive at the feet of Muller, and Evra takes a clattering between the two as he tried to obstruct his path.

Klose chases a ball in the box, and as Debuchy grapples his shirt, he ludicrously throws himself to the floor. It was a foul, but the dive was preposterous.

Both sides build from the back, but Germany are better at pressing France into making a mistake than the reverse.

Klose did indeed go to ground pretty easily, and threw in a few rolls on the ground.
