SWITZERLAND'S THREE AT THE BACK
Is doing them no favours. They've got one man to mark between them and Ramos is occupying them all, while the players behind him are floating and darting, unmolested.

VARGAS RUNS AT DALOT
And looks to have got away, but Dalot comes back at him well and makes the challenge.

SCHAR GETS A KNOCK
And Switzerland take an impromptu drinks break. They need one; I hope there's something strong in those bottles.

PORTUGAL ARE FLAUNTING THE OLD SWASH AND BUCKLE NOW
Bernardo finds Felix, who hits long for Ramos. He controls well, on the burst, but his touch happens to take him into the defender's trailing foot and the ball runs away from him. He still gets his shot away, but it's straight at Sommer. Still, though, he's absolutely loving this.

AND THEY'RE STEPPING IT UP NOW
Guerreiro and Felix combine down the left, the ball comes into the box, Ramos touches off, and with Fernandes waiting for it, Otavio takes the shot before it reaches him, hitting into the ground and straight at Sommer.

THAT VERY BAD NEWS FOR SWITZERLAND
I mean of course it is, but if they try and push up, Portugal have the players to kill them.

CAN WE HAVE A CLOSE-UP OF RONALDO PLEASE?
Now.

WHAT A GOAL! Portugal 1-0 Switzerland (Ramos) OH MY DAYS! Felix slides a ball into Ramos, down the left side of the box; he takes a touch, then from an acute angle, he mass-murders a devastating rising finish that screeches, shrieks, howls and screams past Sommer at his near post, just under the bar! That is an incredible strike, and his first for his country. What a call by Fernando Santos to pick him! What a leap he takes over the corner flag in celebration!

MUCH BETTER FROM PORTUGAL
Guerreiro slides a really smart ball into Bernardo, who allows the ball to come to him, knowing its got enough pace on it. He skirts around the outside of the Switzerland back three and crosses low ... Ramos is there ... but the cross doesn't quite reach him.

PORTUGAL HAVEN'T GOT GOING YET
Switzerland haven't done much either, but I'd guess that so far, the game is going more as they want it to. They've been attacking down the flanks, while Bruno and Bernardo have yet to make an impact.

PEPE ADVANCES DOWN THE RIGHT
But his ball infield is behind Ramos, and Felix can't get hold of it either.

SWTIZERLAND'S FORMATION
Is, it seems a 3-5-2, while Portugal are, I think, playing 4-2-3-1, with Felix coming off the left.
12'
DIAS GIVES IT AWAY
In a dangerous area. But Shaqiri can't capitalise, a poor touch allowing Dalot to clear.
11'
FREULER HITS A BIG SWITCH OUT TO FERNANDES
Whose cross is miserable.

SOMETHING TO NOTE
I said earlier that Portugal will look to pierce Switzerland through the middle, but Sitzerland are strong there. Akanji and Schar make one of the best centre-back pairings in the competition, while Freuler and Xhaka will give them decent protection in front.
7'
SWITZERLAND PLAY OUT NICELY
Then Vargas injects a bit of impetus down the left before Shaqiri wins a throw. Portugal quickly win the ball back, though, then give it away, which is to say neither side have settled into a pattern or a tempo yet.
5'
EMBOLO SKIPS ACROSS THE FACE OF THE BOX
Brushing Dias off, before swivelling into a shot that's blocked behind by Pepe. The corner then goes short, but long short, I've no idea why, and when the ball eventually comes into the box, Portugal have pushed up to get their offside.
4'
EMBOLO CHASES DIAS
As he tries to see the ball into touch. So Dias steps in front, allows the collision, and Embolo goes down hard. When he gets up, he makes the universal sign of the elbow, but it wasn't that, it was a bodycheck just about within the laws of the game.

PEPE SWITCHES TO GUERREIRO
Who finds Felix, coming off the front and in space. He picks a really good ball into Bruno, in space inside the box, but an uncharacteristically poor first touch means it runs away from him.

THE GROUND IS MILES OFF FULL
That is ridiculous. They should be giving tickets away to kids for free to fill them up.
