Australia are having the first bit of real possession now after what was an incredibly scrappy opening. Aaron Mooy is taking great care of the ball in midfield and dictating the tempo.

Australia are able to counter quickly, moving the ball up the left hand side and Aaron Mooy wins a free-kick. Set pieces could be key today in this one.

The opening exchanges have been very scrappy, lots of loose passes and aerial duels. Both sides are trying to get a foothold in the game.

Australia will see this match as the most winnable fixture, Tunisia will feel exactly the same way about Australia!

We should see two sides playing positive football and going for the win!

Tunisia's clean sheet against Denmark was their ninth in 10 matches, an incredible defensive record. Throughout that time they have kept out the likes of Japan, Chile and Iran.

They will be hoping to be as defensively astute today against the Socceroos.

Keep an eye out for Aissa Laidouni in this one, the midfielder was superb against Denmark, particularly defensively. He made a couple of big tackles and always seemed to be on hand to cut out any loose passes. His long passing helped his side get up the pitch too, completing two of his three long passes.

TAKING IT IN

Tunisia have never managed navigate the group stage successfully at a World Cup, winning just two of their 16 matches across six editions of the World Cup.

Their last win came in 2018, a 2-1 victory over Panama but it was not enough to qualify for the knockouts.

Could this year be different?

Australia are on a bit of a barren run when it comes to World Cup wins, they failed to record a victory in the last two World Cup's (2014 & 2018), with their last win coming against Serbia in the 2010 World Cup.

Jalel Kadri's side can go top of Group D with a win, temporarily at least! After picking up a well earned point in their first match v Denmark, a win today would put them on 4 points and take them top of the pile for now.
