Car 22 has been told to come in after his rear wing split, which is too dangerous for him to stay out. The team will have the option to repair but essentially it will lead to his retirement.

The team radio passes on encouragement to the current champion, who needs to make sure he has his wits about him.

'ARGH! My back is killing me!' Hamilton complains on the team radio. He's in the top five with a good half of the race left. It's hard to see him staying on for another season with this.

He attacks Ricciardo down the inside on a left turn, and he makes the most of his relatively fresher tyres.
