Hamilton was quicker out of the corner and Button held his line - his rear made contact with the front wing of Hamilton's car and Lewis also touched the pit wall, ruining a rear wheel. Hamilton retires at turn five.

Vettel leads from Alonso, Felipe Massa, Rosberg and Button. Webber 14th with Hamilton sixth, behind Schumacher who passed the Briton - Button also came through as Lewis ran wide.
