12/64
There's no precise news about when the rain will start, but Leclerc is pictured swerving and skidding as he catches a kerb in the wet.
10/64
1:29.022s - that is the new fastest lap, again set by Hamilton. He is almost three seconds away from Bottas. And heavier rain is expected.
9/64
Grosjean is under investigation for an earlier pitstop swerve, as is Leclerc.
8/64
Hamilton sets another fastest lap. He is two seconds ahead of Bottas.
6/64
Vettel and Kubica tussle down the grid and somehow manage to avoid any great damage. He is past Sainz now, and already up to eighth.
5/64
Kevin Magnussen has made his way up to second. He is on wet, but Hamilton is on intermediates.
4/64
Hamilton is going to make a pitstop Bottas, Verstappen and Raikkonen - and indeed the rest - are swapping tires over with the safety car out.
3/64
Perez spins out, as Hamilton sets the fastest lap of the race so far.
2/64
Sainz has left the track three times so far, taking evasive action each time.

Hamilton keeps the lead, Bottas is in second. No stramashes yet. Raikkonen is in third, with Verstappen down two places in fourth Leclerc is up four positions, into sixth. Vettel is up from 20th to 14th.
Formation
The formation lap is taking its sweet time as they try to clear some water away from the sodden wet track.

"One third of Germany is still covered in forests and woodlands." That's what Sky are telling us before the race gets going.
14:00
We'll be getting onto the formation lap shortly.

Hamilton has a huge lead already, at this stage. He has 223 points, with Bottas back on 184. The nearest driver who is not subject to any kind of team order is Verstappen with 136 points.
13:45
And this is pleasant.
13:40
It is an absolutely dreadful day for Ferrari, who get to watch Hamilton - we can assume - pull further away from both their drivers. Valtteri Bottas is in third behind Max Verstappen, so will be able to block or make his way forward. Waaaaaay behind him is Charles Leclerc in 10th, and Sebastian Vettel is at the back of the grid in 20th, having failed to set a time. Both drivers had technical problems yesterday.
13:35
Here is the always humble Hamilton.
13:30
Lewis Hamilton took pole yesterday, and did so while being unwell. That might be easy to deal with over a few laps, but he could find it tougher over the best part of two hours today.
