Hamilton with a serious lock-up coming over a bump in the track and slides off at the corner

We still haven't seen Mark Webber since his crash this morning that cost him his front wing

Sutil up in 10th after letting Hulkenberg have his car this morning

Less than a second seperates the top five drivers

A Torro Rosso and a Force India in seventh and eighth is more of a surprise though, the Mercedes' way back in 17th and 18th

Very little movement at the top of the leaderboard after the initial flurry of action, the top six is predictably made up of Ferraris, Red Bulls and McLarens though

Hamilton on a very slow lap, a full four seconds behind Alonso's time through the second sector

Alguersuari still up in seventh, if he can stay there he'll be delighted

Apparently the forecast is improving and rain is less likely at this stage

Perez heading round but is not on a quick one at all

Heidfeld is on a decent run and looks like he will improve on 14th where he sits currently

Di Resta out in his Force India looking to improve on his eighth place, he doesn't look too fast on this run though

Alonso back out and sets the quickest time, just shading Button's time

Most have returned to the pits now, only Massa and Alguersuari are out there now

Button has already gone quicker than last year's fastest lap during the Grand Prix

Button regains his lead from Alonso and everyone is much quicker in this session than the first

massa runs far too wide at turn 12 and spins off onto the concrete, no collision though

Very competitive opening to this practice session with all the big guns looking very fast

Jenson Button now looking good as he shaves time off Vettel's time but then Alonso beats the Brit's time to go to top spot

Vettel out there and looking good as he sets a 1.22.666 to go ahead of Massa

Barrichelo bizarrely overtakes D'Ambrosio on the way into the pit lane, he was complaining of under-steer on his radio before hand, maybe he was a little frustrated
