In the meantime, read the report of the session -

We'll be back at 13:00 UK time for Free Practice Two - join us then.

No changes to report - it's a Red Bull one-two as so often this season, but Webber was more than a second clear of Vettel. The rest of the top 10 - Rosberg, Alonso, Perez, Hamilton, Schumacher, Heidfeld, Button, Barrichello.

'Try KERS for turn 10', the engineers tell Webber. He's not looking too quick, though.

Session over - drivers may complete their final laps...
1'
Into the final minute of the first practice session - will we see a flurry of bests or a muted finish?
2'
How much does Vettel have in reserve? Well, we don't know - he's three seconds off his best time at the second sector split.
3'
... Even Lewis Hamilton, whose car has been released back in time for one last timed lap.
4'
Heidfeld, quietly sitting in the top 10, back out on track. Everyone except for Alonso looks to be heading out...
5'
Perez, the one-time fastest man on the track, has slipped to 11th, but with a fast lap storms back up to fifth. Schumacher had gained a single place on his last run, but Perez has just dropped him back to ninth.
6'
Button quite happy with that lap, however - he's on the radio to his engineers to say the balance of the rear is much better.
7'
Button still out on track, however, but he'll not be troubling the established order - he's running a 1:31.0 on the worn hard tyres.
8'
Hamilton's car is up on the jacks in the garage as they continue to look at the new parts. Might mean that Lewis' session is over for now.
9'
Jackie Stewart spotted in the Force India pit lane giving a few words of advice to Paul di Resta - there'll be worse counsellors, won't there?
10'
Into the final ten minutes of the session, and as things stand it might be quite a muted ten-minute spell.
12'
No signs of improvements for Button either.
14'
Doesn't look like it - Webber in the 1:29s there - a reminder of how big a factor the drop-off in tyres can be.
15'
Webber out on track, as well as Button - will either of these make any step forward on the timesheets?
16'
HRT were burning the midnight oil on their car last night - the teams are under a 'curfew' about how long they can work and were seen using the second of their four permitted time extensions to do thier work.
