Unsurprisingly, Rosberg is second behind his teammate, with Ricciardo the best of the rest. Bottas is fourth, leading from Grosjean, Raikkonen, Alonso, Button, Massa and Vettel.

Another pole position for Lewis Hamilton, who wrestles away first place from Rosberg. A time of 1:25.232 guarantees Hamilton his fourth pole of the season.
2'
Only four drivers have set a timed lap so far in thise final qualifying session. Jenson Button, wanting to preserve his tyres for tomorrow, will only come out for one lap.
3'
Alonso goes fourth fastest with a time of 1:27.563, +1.275s slower than the leader Hamilton.
4'
Surely it will be between Hamilton and Rosberg for pole position here. Ricciardo will almost certainly finish third now that Vettel has pulled out.
5'
Hamilton has definitely hooked that final sector up. He usurps his Mercedes teammate, crossing the line in 1:26.288. That's provisional pole for the Brit. Game on!

23.6 on the first sector for both Rosberg and teammate Hamilton. That's about a tenth of a second behind what you'd expect on those tyres. Rosberg finally crosses the line in 1:26.561.

Lewis Hamilton was on a slower lap during as Vettel pulled out of qualifying. The reigning world champ held up Hamilton, but apologised over his radio. "Sorry to Lewis but I had all sorts of lights flashing at me."

We're back up and running in this third qualifying session of the Spanish Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel's day is over. The German signalled to his team that he could not change up into third. He was clearly struggling in the pit lane, but opted to exit and look to get round.
9'
The Red Bull driver had problems coming out of the pit lane and was overtaken by teammate Ricciardo - which is sure to please him. Vettel in real trouble here, and this will more than likely be the end of his qualifying session.
10'
Rosberg is the first man out for his flying lap. He'll be trying to cause an upset here. We have a red flag, though, and it won't count for anything. Sebastian Vettel has no drive.
11'
Nobody in a rush to get out, though Lewis Hamilton is being readied. The Brit has never started on Pole in Barcelona.
12'
The light goes green. Q3 is underway, then... Nico Rosberg or Lewis Hamilton for pole? Or will we have a huge upset? Mercedes going for their five consecutive pole for the first time ever.

A terrific final lap from Button who crosses the line in ninth to qualify for Q3. Alonso scrapes through by the skin of his teeth, with Kvyat having the chance to knock the Spaniard out, though he can't quite make it.
1'
Button will have one more go at making it through to Q3 - appearing back on track on the mediums.
2'
Confirmation on why Magnussen didn't appear in Q2 - his power unit has conked out. Usually something that could have been fixed, but his McLaren team obviously just didn't have time to do so.
3'
Hulkenberg is back out on the track, while Massa, who has changed tyres to the medium compound for the first time today, joins him.
4'
Kevin Magnussen has jumped out of his car before even setting a timed lap in Q2. McLaren's issues continue.
5'
Ricciardo's Red Bull team obviously don't think that there is a faster lap out there as the Aussie comes back into the pits. They tell him "we will not be going out for another lap in this session". Obviously wanting to save those tyres for tomorrow.
6'
Sergio Perez is on the radio to his Force India team. The driver is complaining that his car is pulling left when breaking - something he had problems with in FP1 yesterday.
