The ISPS Handa World Invitational has attracted star names like Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire to Northern Ireland for an event co-sanctioned by the LET and the LPGA Tour. Those who were following the group on Friday were rewarded with something special as world No. 29 Hall made a hole in one on the third hole. It helped her card a round of 68 to sit three off the lead of Amanda Doherty.

Georgia Hall made a hole in one as she kept firmly in the hunt after two rounds of the ISPS Handa World Invitational.
Hall is one of the star names on show in Northern Ireland, with the event co-sanctioned by the LET and LPGA Tour.
Hall started well on Thursday with a round of 68, and she followed that up with a 69 at Massereene Golf Club to sit at eight-under after 36 holes.
The highlight of the round came on the third hole, as she aced from 132 yards with a wedge.
“We were like slightly in between clubs, but I kind of felt I couldn't hit a 9-iron, and ended up half a yardage; I hit a really good shot. Hit -- I couldn't really see it, but I think it pitched a few yards short, spun, and then rolled in nicely,” Hall said. “It was really good.”
It was a shot in the arm on the back of a bogey on the opening hole. Further birdies followed on five, 10 and 17. Unfortunately for the world No. 29, Hall bogeyed the 18th to leave her three behind leader Amanda Doherty at the halfway mark.
Leona Maguire is the local favourite and she carded the same 69 as Hall to join the English player on eighth-under, three off the lead.
Doherty made six birdies in a round of 67 to leave her in a strong position with the clubhouse lead, while Sweden’s Linn Grant is five back after a round of 69.
Emily Pedersen signalled a return to form on Thursday and she carried that on in the second round to get within one shot of Doherty at the top of the leaderboard.
The Dane had statisticians thumbing through the record books after making birdies on her first four holes.
Pedersen’s play cooled as the day progressed, but a round of 68 took her to 10-under, the same number as Lauren Coughlin.
Hall was not the only player to make an ace on Friday, as Tiia Koivisto found the bottom of the cup on the 12th hole at Galgorm Castle. The Finn is unlikely to be playing at the weekend, as she carded a triple-bogey eight on the 18th hole - her ninth - to sit below the cut line.
The event is played over two courses for the first two days, with the players competing at Galgorm Castle at the weekend.
As well as being co-sanctioned by the two women’s tours, it is also played in conjunction with a men’s event on the DP World Tour.
Ewen Ferguson held a four-shot lead overnight, but that has been cut to one following a round of 70.
Borja Virto is one behind Ferguson at eight-under, with Filippo Celli - the low amateur at the Open Championship last month - on seven-under.
