Mari Leinan Lund started the 5km with a 22-second advantage over compatriot and overall World Cup leader Gyda Westvold Hansen following a 102.5m leap in the morning's ski jump. It was a lead she comfortably held over the course of the cross-country, eventually coming home 13.5 seconds clear of Ida Marie Hagen.
Mari Leinan Lund earned her maiden World Cup victory while Jarl Magnus Riiber returned to the top of the podium on a day of Norwegian Nordic Combined dominance in Oberstdorf.
Leinan Lund started the 5km with a 22-second advantage over compatriot and overall World Cup leader Gyda Westvold Hansen following a 102.5m leap in the morning's ski jump.
It was a lead she comfortably held over the course of the cross-country, eventually coming home 13.5 seconds clear of Ida Marie Hagen, who reeled in Hansen towards the closing stages as the trio ensured an all-Norwegian podium.
The men's event had a more familiar winner as Riiber was back to his best.
The 2018 Olympic silver medallist won five of the first six races this season but had to settle for second behind Johannes Lamparter in the final two races of 2023.
A 105m jump represented a strong start to his bid to turn the tables and saw him start the 10km cross-country in second, four seconds behind Thomas Rettenegger, who Riiber overtook within the first kilometre.
Riiber then prevailed in an exciting sprint finish, crossing the line a second clear of Lamparter, with Stefan Rettenegger just over three seconds back in third.
