Stefan Kraft cements status as ski jumping king with historic large hill victory in Zakopane to claim 37th World Cup win

It was an historic day for Stefan Kraft in Poland, as he claimed a 109th podium finish in an individual competition, in what was his 37th World Cup victory. Kraft finished ahead of German, Andreas Wellinger and Slovenian, Anze Lanisek. The 30-year-old is now 232 points clear in the overall standings, while his victory ensured Austria emerged victorious on the Polish Tour.

The Austrian claimed a record-breaking 109th podium finish in an individual competition, taking him clear of Finnish legend Janne Ahonen.
He scored 332.3 points for his 37th World Cup victory, finishing ahead of Germany's Andreas Wellinger and Anze Lanisek of Slovenia.
Kraft's triumph ensured the Austrian team won the Polish Tour, while the 30-year-old also extended his lead in the overall standings to 232 points.
He said: "I've heard that a lot now, 109. I didn't stay completely relaxed, I was a bit nervous.
"To be at the top of this list alone is something very special, something beautiful. To collect so many podiums is amazing, I'm a bit speechless."
