Jordan Stolz at the double at Quebec speed skating World Cup, Min-Sun Kim grabs another record

Jordan Stolz set a track record on the way to 1500m gold, adding a win over 500m later on in the event. China's Ning Zhongyan finished 0.78 seconds behind the American in second place, while the podium was completed by Canadian Connor Howe. Min-Sun Kim claimed a track record in the women's 500m, taking 0.45s off her own record. Femke Kok and Ruining Tian were second and third respectively.

Jordan Stolz claimed double gold at the ISU Speed Skating World Cup in Quebec with victories in the men's 500m and 1500m.
In the latter, the American skater broke the track record with his time of 1:44.01, knocking 0.65 seconds off Antoine Gelinas-Beaulieu's time.
Stolz finished 0.78s ahead of China's Ning Zhongyan with the two now separated by just four points in the overall 1500m World Cup standings.
Home favourite Connor Howe completed the podium and another Canadian finished just behind Stolz in the 500m.
Laurent Dubreuil crossed the line only 0.08s behind Stolz, with Japan's Yuma Murakami in third.
Another track record was broken in the women's 500m as Min-Sun Kim of Korea knocked 0.45s off her own record in Quebec.
Kim took the win by just 0.01s ahead of Femke Kok of the Netherlands with all of the top three going under Kim's previous track record of 38.14.
Ruining Tian of China finished with bronze after posting a time of 38.05 to move to seventh in the overall standings which is headed by the US's Erin Jackson who finished fifth in Quebec.
Kok claimed gold as part of the Netherlands team sprint, alongside Marrit Fledderus and Naomi Verkerk.
They beat out China in their race to post a time of 1:27.09, comfortably ahead of second place Poland.
Kazakhstan completed the podium, finishing 2.07s back after a late surge saw them take bronze.
In the men's mass start, 17-year-old Shomu Sasaki claimed gold after moving from sixth to first in the second-to-last lap.
The Japanese skater was joined on the podium by Korea's Jae-Won Chung and Livio Wenger of Switzerland.
