POUILLE TAKES THE SECOND SET, 6-3! It's a long way back for Popyrin now. Pouille just upped his levels in that second set and it proved too much for the young Australian.

*POUILLE 5-2 Popyrin (7-6): All of a sudden, Pouille has some breathing space. The Frenchman is upping the speed of his ground strokes and that is forcing Popyrin into errors.

POUILLE TAKES THE FIRST SET, 7-6 (7-3)! That was a tough one for the Frenchman, but Popyrin showed a little inexperience in the tie break and despite playing well, that cost him.

Pouille 5-6 POPYRIN*: Very impressive from the youngster. Pouille hasn't had a look at the Popyrin serve in at least three games now. Popyrin now has a tie break at least!

*POUILLE 4-4 Popyrin: The Australian had a look at the Popyrin serve at 15-30, but the key point came at 30-30 when the Frenchman made a lovely screwed, forehand winner.

Pouille 3-4 POPYRIN*: Pouille had a couple of break points on the Popyrin serve in that game, but once again the young Australian comes up big. Popyrin is tuned into this match and the crowd is with him!

Pouille 2-3 POPYRIN*: That was almost comical, it was so emphatic. In response to Pouille's hold to love, Popyrin does the same with three massive serves (two of them aces) in there for good measure.
