BAUTISTA AGUT 6-4 MURRAY: That's the first set Bautista Agut has ever taken from Murray, and to be fair to the Brit, he's worked very hard to stay in touch. There are moments of brilliance but also moments of absolute discomfort.
-
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 5-4 MURRAY: Lovely volley from Bautista Agut at the net brings up break point, and Murray nets a forehand to hand over the game.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 4-4 MURRAY: Murray gets himself a break point, much to everyone's glee, but Bautista Agut wins the next three points (with his opponent screaming, "No. No," at himself) to continue the run of service holds.
-
Change of ends - and Jamie Murray joins the player box. This is almost unprecedented.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 3-4 MURRAY: Some absolutely wonderful rallying here, with the Spaniard continuing to push Murray to the corners. But the former world number one holds, and shouts a big "Come on!" Just like the olden times.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 3-3 MURRAY: Wilander sympathises with Murray, and says he can't imagine playing a match where he knew before he started that he wouldn't be able to last four hours, and that his fitness was dictating his shot selection.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 2-3 MURRAY: That's a tough service game for Murray, who's forcing that twisting movement at the ball toss with every sinew he has. As Eurosport expert Mats Wilander points out on commentary, he's also struggling to push off from his right leg when he strikes a forehand. Never the quietest on court, he's making noises that indicate both his endeavour and discomfort. But nevertheless he claws it back from 30-0 down to hold.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 2-2 MURRAY: Bautista Agut is doing what he has to, and trying to force Murray into as much movement as possible.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 1-2 MURRAY: Odd choices for the returns from Bautista Agut, who perhaps isn't quite sure of his tactics against the hobbled Murray.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 1-1 MURRAY: Murray challenges the "out" call that takes the 22nd seed to game point, and it's correct by about half a millimetre. Bautista Agut holds to love.
-
BAUTISTA AGUT 0-1 MURRAY: The cheers for every point Murray wins are resounding. He's really stretching on the serve, and the pain clearly kicks in when he's looking to move laterally.

That's the end of the warm-up. We're about to get under way on the Hisense Arena.
-
Murray has won the toss and has decided to serve.
-
Mum Judy, father-in-law Nigel Sears, plus Harriet Dart and Katie Swan are all there to cheer him on.
-
There's an absolute ROAR as Murray heads on to court. Actual goosebumps. There are plenty of saltires waving in the stands, and he waves to the crowd as he takes his seat.

"This is potentially a very historic day today," says Annabel Croft, who adds that she's concerned about Murray's movement but his ball-striking is as exquisite as ever.
07:30
Edmund's match is over so Murray will be on shortly.

Murray is currently doing some stretches off-court and looks like he's not moving brilliantly, shall we say?
