BREAK! – SABALENKA 1-2 RYBAKINA
First blood to Rybakina – but Sabalenka will be wondering how she hasn’t won that game. The No.5 seed charges 40-0 up with two more aces doing some heavy lifting.
However, Elena works her way back into it with a backhand return winner and a crosscourt forehand pass.
It’s all about Sabalenka going too big after that as she coughs up break point from deuce with a double fault before hammering a forehand off court.

SABALENKA 1-0 RYBAKINA
Aryna offers awry smile as she kicks off with a double fault after all of the talk about how she has improved her serve.
She responds in style though and lashes down a pair of aces and a crushing forehand winner to open with a game to 15.

SABALENKA'S PATH TO THE FINAL
As the No.5 seed, the Belarusian may not have had to come through the same list of big names as Rybakina, but it's still been a highly impressive tournament for the 24-year-old.
She has swept aside the likes of Olympic champion Belinda Bencic, Elise Mertens and Donna Vekic without dropping a set across her six matches.
Indeed, that's 10 straight wins for Aryna since the start of 2023, including a title triumph at the Adelaide International.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT, ALFIE?
That's the question asked at the start of the famous song penned by Hal David and Burt Bacharach.
The answer, it seems, is gathering trophies!
Britain's Alfie Hewett followed up his doubles glory with a stunning singles triumph as he defeated third seed Tokito Oda in straight sets in the final on Saturday at the Australian Open earlier.
The top seed wasted no time in doubling up on the trophies front at Melbourne Park as he overcame Oda in straight sets, 6-3 6-1, in just 69 minutes to go one better than the previous two years.
