Hello and welcome to LIVE text commentary of Day Two of the Davis Cup first round clash between holders, Great Britain and Japan. The tie is finely poised at 1-1 after Andy Murray and Kei Nishikori won their respective singles matches as expected. This afternoon we are focusing on the doubles, so often pivotal in this competition. Dominic Inglot and Jamie Murray were pencilled in to meet Yoshihito Nishioka and Yasutaka Uchiyama, but there has been a last minute change. As speculated, Andy Murray comes into partner his brother, Jamie while Japan remain unchanged.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! - A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 6-4 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Great Britain take a crucial 2-1 lead in the tie as Andy Murray seals the straight sets triumph with an ace to cap another love hold. It was a routine success for the Murray brothers who rarely looked under threat on serve. Andy Murray can now seal the tie if he beats Kei Nishikori in the first of the reverse singles on Sunday afternoon.

BREAK! - A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 5-4 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. And there it is. GB secure the break and Andy Murray will now look to serve out the match. The Japanese completely caved under the intensity of the spotlight as the home side hit back from 40-15 down to take the next four points. Andy made the vital contribution, lashing a low return to the feet of the Japanese who could only prod an awkward volley into the net.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 4-4 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Composed serving from Jamie. The Murrays remain unshakable on serve and they come through for the loss of just one point to easily pull level.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 3-4 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. An important hold for the underdogs. The Murrays came out all guns blazing in their pursuit of what would have been a hugely significant break. However, the Japanese remained focused after being taken to deuce and eventually came through unscathed. They've improved in this third set, but it will still be too little, too late in the context of the match as a whole.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 3-3 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Andy shrugs off a double fault to cruise to another simple and highly effective hold. GB need to go on the attack now. A break here would surely be match-deciding.

UPDATE: A surprise is on the cards for Djokovic's Serbia. Could be good news for GB who would face the world number one and his fellow Serbs in the next round should both teams come through their first round ties.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 2-3 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. This is a good spell in the match for Japan. Uchiyama has been impressive this afternoon and he continues to earn polite applause from the biased crowd for his efforts. A mix of astute serving and offensive follow-up play are enough to claim a confident love hold. Can Japan make the most of this wave of positivity? Or will the Muzza bros crank it up a gear and finish this off in the next 20 minutes or so?

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 2-2 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. A rare moment of concern for GB on serve. The Japanese reach Pulp (30-30) but can't do enough to notch up that elusive BP and Jamie comes good to rattle of the next two points and move GB level.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 1-2 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Kei Nishikori applauds from the sidelines as Nishioka holds to 30 to keep Japan's noses in front. At this rate Andy Murray will be off court in the next half an hour or so and Kei will be hoping his teammates can make the Scot sweat a bit more ahead of what could be THE crucial match of this tie tomorrow afternoon.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 1-1 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Japan know they need to put some pressure on the GB serve if they are to make this at all interesting from their perspective. Andy continues to find some strong rhythm and despite a corking crosscourt return winner from Uchiyama, the Brit holds to 30.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 0-1 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Japan hold their nerve to edge ahead at the start of the third. At 40-15 Andy Murray produces a sensational forehand winner that clips the line to the far left of the baseline he is facing. It gives GB a chance to pile on the pressure, but it doesn't materialise as Uchiyama serves it out for a morale-boosting hold.

SET! - A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 6-2 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. GB are well on course for a 2-1 lead in the tie. The Murray brothers moved up a gear in the second set and look a class above their opponents. JM serves it out to 15 and it's hard to see anything other than a straight sets triumph at this point.

BREAK! - A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 5-2 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. GB get their reward for turning the screw, hitting back from 40-15 down to make deuce courtesy of a trademark winner off the forehand volley from Jamie. The brothers are almost impenetrable once they form a wall at the net. It sees them force the lobbed error to tee up BP, but Andy can't convert it with a weak volley from close-in. And it's deja vu on the second one as AM crunches a make-able return into the net. The home team conjure up a third opportunity and this time Japan buckle with Uchiyama miscuing an overhead on the stretch way out of court. It's a double break and JM will now look to serve for a 2-0 lead.

A.MURRAY/ J. MURRAY 6-3 4-2 NISHIOKA/UCHIYAMA. Wow! No look-in once more on the AM serve. The younger Murray bullets down a trio of blockbusting serves to see out a hold to 15. GB cruising here.
