Hello and welcome to LIVE text commentary of Day Two of the Davis Cup first round clash between holders, Great Britain and Japan. The tie is finely poised at 1-1 after Andy Murray and Kei Nishikori won their respective singles matches as expected. This afternoon we are focusing on the doubles, so often pivotal in this competition. Dominic Inglot and Jamie Murray were pencilled in to meet Yoshihito Nishioka and Yasutaka Uchiyama, but there has been a last minute change. As speculated, Andy Murray comes into partner his brother, Jamie while Japan remain unchanged.

Will Andy Murray's body live up to a three-day marathon of tennis after a month out of action following the birth of his daughter, Sophia? The Scot admitted he felt fatigued during his win over Taro Daniel in the singles yesterday. He said: "The last few weeks have been the best of my life, really special. It has been tough the last few days being away from her for the first time but it had to happen to some stage, and it is a pleasure to represent my country and be with teammates that we won with last year. The second set was tough - a lot of close games and some tough points, which was good for me. I was getting a little out of breath but I played a good match, served well, missed a few second serves but the first serve went extremely well, so it was a nice start."

No surprise to see Andy Murray replacing Inglot. However, Japan have made a big call on Nishikori. Leon Smith had expected to see the world number six in the doubles. He said: “He’s their best player so I would have thought there is a good chance of that." Meanwhile, Nishikori was keen too. Speaking after his win over Dan Evans, the Japanese said: “If I have the chance I want to play.”

GB captain Leon Smith on the prospect of Andy coming into play alongside Jamie Murray in the doubles, a decision that has now been confirmed: "We will have a conversation about it and hopefully he feels good. Andy and Jamie is our strongest team so it is great if they can play. If not, Dom Inglot and Jamie are very strong. We have somebody like Andy who is one of the best players on the planet and somebody like Jamie who is No 2 in the world doubles, so you kind of know where you are at.”
