Hello and welcome to live updates of the French Open quarter final encounter between world number one, Novak Djokovic and seventh seed, Tomas Berdych.

GAME, SET AND MATCH! - DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 6-3 BERDYCH. The world number one serves it out on his second match point to clinch a straight sets victory in two hours and six minutes. It's a sixth straight RG semi for the Djoker who had an incident packed time on court, leading a very brief suspension of play in the third set and almost catching a linesman with a stray racket. He'll shrug that off now and can look forward to a last four meeting with either Goffin or Thiem.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 5-3 BERDYCH. Is that game over? Djoker is up out of his seat early and he certainly is the early bird catching the worm... A lob sets up triple break point and while Berdych saves one with a bullet serve, he fizzes wide to offer Djokovic the chance to serve out the match.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 4-3 BERDYCH. Novak looking very moody. He's not happy with the slowing conditions but answers another question posed by Berdych at 15-30 to edge in front.

The players are now returning to court after less than a few minutes off it. A few boos for Djokovic as he seemed to lead that decision.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 3-3 BERDYCH. The Birdman produces his own big hold. The Czech rampages to a 40-0 lead but sees it evaporate as a delicious dropshot and a wrongfooting backhand down the line see Nole crank up the heat. The Czech toils slightly at deuce but then comes through to level.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 3-2 BERDYCH. Massive hold for Novak. Berdych scorches a brilliant forehand winner beyond him for BP but can't find his way through despite some real patience in the ensuing rally. The Czech grabs a second BP from deuce but again Djoker's defences are too good and he somehow wriggles out of a tough spot to stay in front in the third.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 2-2 BERDYCH. A defiant overhead smash from Berdych seals a game for the loss of one point. Composed play from the seventh seed.

DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 2-1 BERDYCH. Nole is finding the winners despite some fine play by Berdych. The Czech attacks the net at 30-30 but Nole delivers a beautiful crosscourt pass to get back on track.

BREAK! - DJOKOVIC 6-3 7-5 1-1 BERDYCH. Tomas just can't get enough consistency to make some inroads on this match. Djokovic immediately breaks back from deuce, despite hurling his racket in frustration and seeing it slip out of his hands before landing just shy of the linesman. The Serb needs to be careful.
