CATCH UP ON THE ACTION
Miss any of what happened? Here's our in-depth report on Ruud's win
TIM HENMAN IN THE CUBE
"Ruud really stamped his authority on the match in the early stages. He dominated the first set and got the early break in the second. Rune deserves a lot of credit. He didn't panic and dug in. He started going for his shots more and more. When he got the second set you thought it was anyone's contest, but the third set was always going to be critical."
THE WINNING MOMENT
Here's how Casper Ruud booked his place in the French Open semi-finals, where he'll face Marin Cilic on Friday. The other last four clash is between Alexander Zverev and Rafa Nadal
RUUD MAKES HISTORY
Mats Wilander informs Ruud he's the first male or female player into a singles grand-slam semi-final. "These are the matches you dream about playing. I have to be really focused and bring my A-Game in the semi-final because Marin has played great all week. It's going to be another tough match"
RUUD PAYS TRIBUTE TO RUNE
Ruud: "Holger has become more dangerous. He is fearless. He goes for a lot of big shots and makes a lot of them. He's going to be a dangerous player for many years."
RUUD ADMITS TO PRE-MATCH NERVES
Ruud: "There were a lot of nerves all day, but I was able to sleep a little bit after breakfast.
"I started great. Holger fought back and he raised his level. It was another tough match"

RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 6-3 RUNE
Game, set and match Ruud. He makes the perfect start to the game, whacking down ace number 13 to move to 30-0, before a Rune return sits up nicely for a cross-court forehand winner. Three match points, and despite wasting the first, he fires a winner down the line that is originally called out, only to be overruled by the umpire. Terrific stuff from the Norwegian
RUNE SERVING FOR THE MATCH
Here we go then - can the Norwegian reach his first grand slam semi-final? Marin Cilic awaits...

RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 5-3 RUNE
Trouble for Rune, who gifts Ruud two points at the start of his service game with two unforced errors, before a wayward forehand hands the Norwegian three break points. Rune saves the first two with some glorious ball striking, while the third comes and goes with a stunning inside-out forehand. He then fails to convert two game points of his own before Ruud breaks another error comes from the Rune racket
RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 4-3 RUNE
The Ruud serve has returned to the imperious state it held in the first set, when Rune couldn't get hear it. He holds to love once more, with the Dane giving up on a couple of points during that game
RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 3-3 RUNE
Rune races to 40-0 on serve, but a Ruud clipped backhand winner, a double-fault and a tough volley into the net mean we're back at deuce. The Dane is ticking, but he puts away a smash to earn a fourth game point and then takes the game with a brilliant drop shot
WALES FACE UKRAINE IN WORLD CUP SHOWDOWN
Just one game separates Wales and Ukraine from the 2022 Qatar World Cup later this year following the latter's win over Scotland tonight.
RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 3-2 RUNE
A gorgeous drop shot on the slide from Rune brings up 15-15 all in the next game, and there's a tricky moment for Ruud at 30-30, but he wins the next point and then smashes down an ace to stay in front
RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 2-2 RUNE
Brilliant response from Rune, who holds to love - firing down his first ace of the match in the process. Level again as the umpire calls for new balls
RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 2-1 RUNE
A stunning return sees Rune take the first point of the next game, but that's the closest he'll get to a break as Ruud rattles off four points in a row to hold and maintain the lead in the set
RUUD 6-1 4-6 7-6 1-1 RUNE
This is a huge service game for Rune, who, should he lose it, could fizzle away quite quickly. A double fault sees Ruud go 15-30 up, and the Dane then volleys wide to hand his opponent two break points. Some huge serving, two of them unreturned and a third put a way with a thumping volley, sees Holger win four points in a row. Massive hold.

RUUD 6-1 4-6 6-6 (7-6) RUNE
A stunning rally on Ruud's next service point as he somehow gets up to a drop shot, whacks down a smash and then deftly volleys into the open court to claim the point. A sensational backhand winner down the line hands him four set points - but he only needs one, taking the set with a inside-out forehand. He's back in front!
